Anyone play this game? I love Star Wars and would like to wield a lightsaber, but I'm not a big fan of role-playing games. So how is it?

I'm still pretty early on this game -- I'm on the second planet, but I haven't done too much. It's really VERY VERY good, and very addicting. I personally am not tremendously engrossed by the story yet.

All I know is that my little borther plays Jedi Outcast like no other. He runs his own server for it.

I always thought Star Wars Galaxies looked cool. Anyone here play that one?

That game has a pretty strong following. Not a whole lot of replay value in. A very good game none the less. They are currently working on part 2.

Bought it a few weeks back.....Going on the side of the light, may try the dark again, but I have over 50 saved hours into this one game. I lose time on this game like no other. I'll be messing around on it and, before I know it, 2 hours have gone by. The story gets much more compelling as you go, though, so stick with it.

I love this game, played it through, tried to stay as light as possible (not always successful), started a second completely different, more morally ambiguous (easier to do) character, but didn't play too far with her... it's an awesome game, I think... can't wait for the second one... the turn-taking aspect of the combat took a little getting used to for me, as I am not highly experienced with that, but it felt pretty seamless after a while... for some reason I get a little depressed trying to go real dark with some of these games -- I played Black and White (anybody try that one? It's a truly excellent PC game), and did the same thing, tried to stay good... my friend had it and went the opposite way, and it was just depressing -- the land was covered in darkness all the time, people screaming for mercy... I suppose if I was in the right mood, I could get into a little virtual brutality, though...

My friend plays Galaxies, and loves it. I was talking to him about how much I used to love Wing Commander and would like to find something like that again, and he recommended Galaxies...

I usually don't like role-playing, but this game was pretty fun.

It has been out for a while, so there may be a price drop in store for it pretty soon.
