Knicks made right decision signing Felton over Lin

Probably true. I don't know if Felton is a better player than Lin, but he's definitely a better fit for their team at the moment.

 

Felton isn't very good, but he doesn't commit stupid TO's a harvard grad shouldn't be making. I guess IQ doesn't translate to basketball IQ.

 

Raymond Felton is a better pure PG than Lin because he knows his role and what he has to do.

He also had the priviledge to play D1 ball against great schools and probably attended many PG camps as a youngster, so his PG skills are more developed.

 

Believe it or not, the contracts were for more than one year. The numbers were almost identical. One player is a notoriously fat 28-year-old with fewer assists and a worse shooting percentage, while the other is a 24-year-old on the rise in basically his second NBA season.

I know which one I'd pick...

 

For this season, Felton's role has been more beneficial for the Knicks, however in the long terms, Rockets have won this battle with Lin who is still young and can become a lot better.

 

The Rockets blew out the Knicks in all games this season.

Suck it up.

 

Lin didn't attend a D1 school or ever go to a basketball camp?

Felton never gets doubled. Celtics don't bother game planning for him. He is a decent PG but not explosive or a game changing threat offensively or defensively. Put Lin on the Knicks and he would do better.

 

Where is Rondo?
Westbrook is the top 5 PG.

Having said that, Lin is a better player than Felton.

 

Celtics are trash. I watched the game and KG was literally just standing around the paint. He's a freaking center.

 

For the Knicks, Lin was expendable because their core pieces were basically Melo, Amare and Chandler.

I wouldn't say they made the right decision, more like they compensated in the short term.

felttons counts 3.5mil against the cap. Jlin counts 8 mil against the cap(makes 5 mil). you could argue felton is the better value.

Like another poster said, no one really bothers to gameplan for Felton. Carmelo and J.R both get most of the defensive attention, while everyone tries to figure out Lin and Harden first, rest of Rockets later.

 

How many minutes in the NBA has Felton played? How many has Lin played?

 

Wow, he shot 52% TS on mostly uncontested layups and had 2 assists, at home...sounds like a great PG to me!

 

wowowowowwwow! He's 2-0! Felton totally outplaying the Celtics himself! Thank god for the Knicks they have a superstar PG to win games for them. I heard Melo, Chandler, JR Smith, and all the other Knicks players didn't play tonight. It was 1 on 5 how did Felton beat 5 guys at once??!!?!?
