The Knicks are giving away free food all night (and non-alcoholic drinks) as a sign of appreciation for having 21 SELLOUTS (out of 41) this season!!! they had 96% capacity this season. while I dont know what the real in-stand attendance was, thats pretty damn impressive. I guess tonights the night where NYers try to make up for a disaster of a season as well as the ridiculous cost of living in NY. Knicks should be giving away free cars for the amount of suckage they have been serving on the court especially considering their payroll. Free food is a kick in the face to Manhattan crowd.
I think they're hoping that if everybody's mouth is full, they won't be able to boo and do their angry chants. I wouldn't even care about the game, I'd just walk around the arena sampling all the food like if I was at the Houston Press Menu of Menus Extravaganza.
that's a pretty good gesture for a team that lost 10 million dollars in a sexual harassment lawsuit, in which the man resonsible for said lawsuit didnt have to pay a dime out of his pocket and was rewarded with an extension last season... sell the Knicks, Dolan!
