They stole Hakeem's MVP. Never deal with them. Also, what's the point of taking crappy expiring contracts for a good one? More chips means less dough this offseason.
maybe in return for draft picks or the one or two good Knicks players they have. Still not enough to entice Morey or most Rockets fans though.
For Rockets: 1. TMAC is a huge distraction to the Rockets. 2. easier to operate smaller contracts. 3. might find someone useful with the expiring. 4. get under the luxury. 5. get rid of Cook. 6. TMAC can still play on the Knicks for his contract. Utah will get a lower draft.
I didn't say they'd do it, I'm just saying it's a starting point. We might want them to throw in some draft picks too...
Looks like a re-hash of that article we saw yesterday. Actually, here is the snippet of the article they were referring to... http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/ll_guard_kobe_i9RbZwwur8LKyGZbHtRoCK
I don't like the Knicks as a trade partner at all... ....but if you did I would think David Lee, Wilson Chandler, and picks would be a more valuable starting point. (Not for Tmac just in general. GM talk)
Does it state what 2 or 3 expiring players are/could be offered? Aren't Lee & Robinson expiring next year?
A NYK "expirings" trade would almost certainly mean Larry Hughes. I'd think a little bit about Hughes and David Lee. Have to be realistic about this - we aren't going to get back an All Star for 2009 McGrady. We aren't. Forget Al Jefferson. If we make a move, it's important NOT to take back a cancer or bad contract.
