Klay says if they don't have one on the table by the time the FA signing period starts, he's open to talking to the Clippers about signing there. Man, I sure hope the Smuggest, Most Arrogant Franchise of All-Time manages to f%#k this up and lose one of their stars. Even better if Durant walks, too. Then maybe they'll panic and sign Boogie to a max deal, despite him not being a great fit there.

Why wouldn't it make sense? Dude played out his contract in Toronto and got them a trophy. Even if he leaves, he'd still be a hero up there. And if he can win a title for the Clippers, he'd be the hero of Laker haters everywhere.

i don't think it makes much sense to me. hes clearly on a team that has a bright future and can be the team to beat in the east for years. they just won a ship and they can offer him the most money. the only thing that LA has going for him is he can go back home.
This would suck Clippers are the favorites in the West if they get Kawhi and Klay, assuming Klay comes back at the end of the year.
And enhance his legacy. Winning multiple titles with two teams is kinda sexy. Not to mention the animal magnetism of Jerry West.
i don't think the clippers are a title team just by adding him. with klay the chances are a little better but they're basically punting next year. by the time klay comes back, they won't thrust him into full playing time mode. kawhi plus more pieces can be good but that all depends on what those pieces are. they're also competing with the big brother so the competition for players gets that much harder for them to get solid contributors. alot has to happen for everything to fall in place. we know by now that doesn't happen to often
if Klay is gonna sign w another team, it'd be the LAL. from a BB perspective, the best catch-and-shoot baller in the NBA makes for the best fit (better than Leonard / Irvin) w the trio LBJ, AD and Kuzma add to it, Klay grew up in the LA Suburb, Rancho Santa Margarita, rooting for the Lakers his father, a former #1 overall pick by the Blazer, is the radio analyst for the LAL hate to break it to you, in this regard, the GSW pale in comparison to the LAL
