the kiss of death, and i'm not talking about mario elie.... so this led me to wonder what are some of your alergic reactions? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051128/ap_on_re_ca/canada_deadly_kiss Teen With Peanut Allergy Dies After Kiss 1 hour, 48 minutes ago SAGUENAY, Quebec - A 15-year-old girl with a peanut allergy died after kissing her boyfriend, who had just eaten a peanut butter snack, hospital officials said Monday. Christina Desforges died in a Quebec hospital Wednesday after doctors were unable to treat her allergic reaction to the kiss the previous weekend. Desforges, who lived in Saguenay, about 155 miles north of Quebec City, was almost immediately given a shot of adrenaline, a standard tool for treating the anaphylactic shock brought on by a peanut allergy, officials said. An autopsy was being performed. Dr. Nina Verreault, an allergist at the Chicoutimi Hospital in Saguenay, declined to comment on the case. The symptoms of peanut allergy can include hives, plunging blood pressure and swelling of the face and throat, which can block breathing. Peanut allergies have been rising in recent decades. The reason remains unclear but one study found that baby creams or lotions with peanut oil may cause children to develop allergies later in life. About 1.5 million Americans are severely allergic to even the smallest trace of peanuts and peanut allergies account for 50 to 100 deaths in the United States each year. Canadian figures were not immediately available.
But seriously, I read that this morning and thought, man, if I was the guy, I'd probably be afraid to kiss anyone again...
Damn. A guy I work with is allergic to peanuts. This girl would have been better off kissing his other nuts.
forget being that guy and being afraid of kissing anyone, there wont be any girls willing to kiss him.
i'd like to revisit this for a moment, well longer than a moment, but my question is this, its obviously open mouth, but is there some tounge action involved there?
Wait a second...isn't this where all the PC bunch on the BBS come in and scold everyone for making light of a young girl's death?
I'm thinking you probably wouldn't like it if people were making fun of your dead girlfriend/sister/mother/son/anyone else you were close to.
That's exactly my point. Some of the people in here making light of her death are usually the ones that have a little bit more class when dealing with this sort of thing. This is not even a situation where someone does something stupid like try to jump the Great Wall on a bicycle. This was just a freak accident.
i was being serious when i started the thread... but.. ... .. peer pressure made me do it... i had to cave and post pics like this dude eating a peanut
