    ... if ever?

The Rockets absolutely need this guy in their rotation if they're not planning in trading for a big guard.

I think it will be soon, but I think Kirk can become "Kirk, The Dirk Stopper"

Last night, I thought he did a pretty good job on him, when he was on him.

Kirk is fine defensively especially on da boards, offensively will be slow because the hand was broken for a while

Let's hope JVG gives him enough minutes to get in playing shape. It is not the same to be recovering on the gym than playing real games.
JVG is not very good giving time to players unless they are 100% ready.

Snyder's game will come around sooner or later he just needs minutes right now. we desperately need a big 2 who can take it to the rim instead of camping outside. no hate on Luther, he is a great shooter, but I dont any sense in playing Luther ahead of Kirk especially with Yao out of the lineup. we dont have the inside present right now that would require outside shooting, all we have is a buch of small perimeter players who camp behind the 3 point line waiting for our superstar swingman to do something, and he usually does, and that's why we've been winning, but IF our shot is off, we are done. that's the luxury of having Yao Ming: when ur team is bricking, give it to the big man and he will do what his thing (except that when your team is really sucking from the outside, u can just triple team Yao and take him out of the game, which in other words mean: game over). I dont know if y'all noticed this, but we rely so freakin much on 3 pointers. 3 pointers are good, but u also need something going to the basket! the only player that's scoring in the paint right now is pretty much Chucky Hayes (who misses 50% of his layups :D) and maybe Deke from offensive rebounds, and u cant count Alston because, despite being a great driver to the basket, he is bricking his great "floaters" or "sh!tdrops" or whatever u wanna call em. I dont know why he relies on the freakin "teardrop" so much when he is a great finisher off the backboard! isn't that what they do in AND1?

my point is, we really need Snyder to play a major role on this team. and yes, I am willing to sacrifice Head's 3 pointers for more minutes for Snyder. I like our team right now, I am not whining or anything, I just think that Snyder would contribute way more than Head right now. I think Snyder is very underrated; his driving ability is just great, and the most underrated aspect of his game is his Defense, which, as we all know, JVG's thing. did y'all see him lock down Dirk in that one position last night? he is so athletic and it's really hard to shoot over him because he got great reaction time and great hops. I like to see us ulternating Snyder and Battman on defense when we are playing superstars (Kobe, Wade, LeBron, maybe Nowitzki...), this way we can always contain them without having to bring in double teams.

bottom line is: Snyder > Head right now, he needs more minutes. Head has been having a tough time of late, we all know he cant really create plays by himself due to his mediocre handles for a guard (which is partly a result of playing with 2 natural PG's in college who created everything for him), and we all know that Head made a living of shooting the open 3 ball when the double team went to Yao and from cutting to the basket and doing his little give-and-go with Yao on the low block. this means his game was dependant on Yao's game (or any inside game), now that we are lacking this "inside" game, he isn't being really productive, he is trying to do so much (shooting on the move, forcing bad passes..). so I think it's wise to decrease Head's minutes and give them to Snyder who might be instant help for us in our current situation (atleast until my man Ming comes back)

agree, thank God it wasn't any lower body injury that would have hendered him from keeping in shape during his time out. defensively, he should be more than decent at first but at the other end of the court i say give it a little over a week

I hope that Kirk Synder gets his shot back tonight. But, that all depends on how much playing time that he gets. It would be great if we could see one of these:http://youtube.com/watch?v=hLayUMoHHts
I would post the actual video in this but i don't know how. Can someone tell me how?

kirk is really helpful for our rebounding i think. a lot of those rebounds we used to see flying over head or chuck or juwan, kirk is able to leap into the air and snare with one hand. if he can just get his timing down, be less foul prone, and work on his shot, he'll be very valuable.

Kirk is the most athletic player on the team. Too bad he was out of the rotation because of a broken hand. I hope he seizes this opportunity to stay in the rotation. This team definitely needs some hops.

Kyrk shot a decent % from 3-pt land before he got here, which gives me hope that he can compliment his solid penetration with decent outside shooting.

Honestly though, I'd rather give Bonzi maximum minutes to get him in the best possible shape for the playoffs.

I really wanted to see if Kirk was ready for a NBA game. Yesterday against the Mavericks his shots weren't falling. When he goes to the rack (only player beside TMAC that does) he always get stripped or unable to finish. It will come with time - I understand.

I just hope he can become the player he was before this injury. We could definately use him in the playoff as well as Bonzi Wells.

He has to be given the opportunity first.

People forget that this guy used to be a starter on this team. He brings a lot to the table, but if JVG wants to give him a fair shot at making the rotation he needs to make sure that he allows him enough time to work himself back into the rotation.

But again, he has to be given a chance to do so...

How is Snyder gonna get any minutes this year? The only way he will is if he eats into Heads or Bonzi's minutes which is unlikely unless Bonzi is traded/doghoused.

I'm not worried about JVG getting him back in at the proper time.
Kirk brings athleticism which we really need and of course he's also a defensive monster.
That wrist will come around eventually, but even in the meantime it's a giant boost to get him back.

Kirk is looking good in the 1st half tonight. His athleticism and aggressiveness are welcome.
