Is anyone watching this? The King's frontcourt is completely dominating the Lakers' front court. Cousins is absolutely amazing. That kid has so much potential, and he is completely dominating Bynum/Gasol.
Cousins looks great tonight. But I must say one thing that is become almost obvious: Tyreke Evans just doesn't seem to have the intelligence to be an elite player in the NBA. Some of it is be poor coaching, no doubt. But something is clearly missing with this guy that other very promising young players have. Kings are in the process of completely choking and the Lakers will win.
i'll give it another year. 3rd year is usually when you can gauge a player whether they can reach stardom or not. he has the tools. injuries may be curtailing his growth this year.
After Demarcus Cousins made those comments about Bynum this off-season I'm glad to see him back it up against him.
Gasol's the biggest p**** in the league, IMO. Each and every time he attempts a shot at the basket, he shrieks and crumbles to the floor like he's been hit with a bat. Cousins, Dalembert, and Landry are dismantling that lanky coward and the LA frontline in Staples. I despise Gasol with a passion.
I can't remember the last time I saw the Kings beat the Lakers. Cousins was awesome and Dalembert hit some crazy shots in the 3rd quarter. Lakers would have won if they hadn't gone cold with 3 minutes left. The Kings were ready to give it up.
Evans was NOT getting the ball to Cousins. No one was going to Cousins or Dalembert. I'll give them credit for getting the ball to Landry, but no one made an attempt to get it to Cousins, who has been unstoppable.
I don't know how much you have watched Sacramento but this seems to happen a lot when Cousins gets good position in the post. Evans ignores him and some of his other teammates too.
I have said this many time and I'll say it again. As long as the Kings have Tyreke controlling the offense, they aren't going anywhere. Tyreke Evans is Steve Francis v.2.0
Demarcus Cousins vs. the (a healthy)Lakers frontline... smh 27 pts| 10 reb | 3 stl | 2 blks I think in a couple of years this kid (if he keeps his head on straight) will be the best post player in the game, he will be the face of the franchise for Sac town. And if the Kings can develop Whiteside(7'0/7'7 wingspan) into a PF, than they could have one hell of a front-line for the future.. On a side note: Man, I wish the rockets would had traded for the 2nd overall pick in this past draft to get their hands on this young talented center.... sigh
