So how will this play out?

I'm rooting for the E.T. for the sake of the Rockets ties and all. But I don't know if Webber will match better vs. the Garnett led poochies.

Just one thing... who will match up better against LAL or SAS between the two? I thnk the 'Sota Wolves would...

    Go 'Sota. ;)

I am pleased for the Timberwolves; I'm a fan of Garnett's game, and I'm glad to finally see him playing in the second round. I'm looking forward to an exciting series.

    Go Kings!

**** Minnesota. No talent classless team. I love the fact that their fans were chanting "OVERRATED" towards the Nugs. Congrats guys, you beat the #8 seed! Now stop celebrating like you won the championship.

Denver exposed Minnesota's weaknesses. Be physical with them. They can't take it. They get frustrated.

    Kings in 5.

"" I love the fact that their fans were chanting "OVERRATED" towards the Nugs.""

Really? Because I was at the game, seems like I would have noticed that. I heard a lot of "MVP chants, some "Beat the Nuggets", and a couple "Barry Sucks"...must have been while I was in the bathroom.

""Congrats guys, you beat the #8 seed! Now stop celebrating like you won the championship.""

Can we officially retire this cliche? Anytime a winning team celebrates, they are acting like they won the championship. They got out of the first round. Like it or not, that was a big deal for the squad.

    Exactly.

Which is more than the Rockets, Mavericks, Grizzlies or Nuggets did.

    ;)

    Now, how about this series?

Watched it, incredible game. Cassell was DRAINING every 3 he threw up. This series is going to be great, another down to the wire series along with the LA-SA series, should be fun to watch.

Bibby couldn't do anything against Cassell, but "Sam I Am" didn't do too great against Bibby, either.

Garnett is the MVP, though, and I fully expect him to come back strong, but it wouldn't even be unusual if Sprewell continues to shoot this bad. I really like all of the opportunites that the Kings gave Trenton Hassell to shoot; sure, he scored seventeen tonight, but if the Timberwolves have to rely on him to do that all series, they don't have a chance in hell.

as big a fan as i am of KG... the MVP would/should make some of those shots he missed.

Olawokandi... wow... I can't believe people complain about Yao Ming after watching this guy.

Kings in 5. The Nugs exposed Minnesota's weaknesses. The Kings took note.

Blind hatred is a b****. No way Sac wins this series in five games. What the hell did the Nuggets expose? Didn't they lose the series 4-1?

Sam Cassell scored a lot of points, but if it was Steve, we'd be b****ing about his A/TO ratio at 5 to 4 and how he didn't get the team involved. The weird thing is that this looks like a Rockets boxscore, with the Wolves giving up 18 turnovers to 9 for the Queens - not to mention the disparity in FTs.

All year, it's looked like Minnesota had a decent offense, and a decent defense. Well, that might have gotten it done against San Antonio, but they are going to have to do something to stop Sacramento from scoring and breaking them down.

I think that this could be a defining series for KG. Either he steps up and shows that he deserves to be the MVP or gets exposed as the second coming of Scottie Pippen. Anyone who gets consideration for the MVP should be more than a complete role player who fills up the stat sheets.

To be fair, Sam's role in Minny is more SG than PG, which suits his (and Steve's) game perfectly. Essentially, KG runs their offense out of the high post.

The big thing I noticed was KG's achille's heel: deferring too much on offense. Not in that he wouldn't force the issue or hang back. What happened over and over was he would go to the basket and at the last minute force a tough pass to someone else that didn't have any better of a shot. Several turnovers and missed shots came out of this. When KG gets inside 10 feet, he needs to put the ball in the basket, period. His 18 points aren't going to take them very far.

Missing Wally is the other thing that hurts them, since it's easy to collapse and leave Spree or Hassell open. You don't want Doug Christie to be free to double team and trap, since it's where he's most dangerous. 13 team steals in game one.

I don't see the Wolves getting by in this round, especially not after just losing homecourt advantage.

Man what game were you watching? Cassell torched bibby. KG was having an off-game but they were still in the game all the way. Can't really judge this series on one game but this should be a great series. I think Minnesota will pull it out though. Don't expect KG to have another off game like last night.
