you've got to be kidding... a center that doesn't play d, doesn't rebound, doesn't block, and plays away from the basket. good luck with all that

Sounds a bit like Brad Miller if you ask me (except for the no d part).

Mo has a decent/good mid-range jumper...that's all you need for the Kings.

Actually, they also want big men who can pass as well...although they did get KT to stop his black hole ways...YAY, a reunion of Rockets PF!

Brad Miller was the worst defensive center in the league last season.

i swear the kings are getting like our players that we had, first KT, then Mobley, and now Mo, who's next? Franchise for Ron Artest? in all honesty and as dumb as Isiah is, i can see that happening...

Wow...they jumped on Mo like a $20 bill laying on the sidewalk. If they're resorting to using Mo as a backup center, The Kings are a lot worse off than I thought. I'd rather roll with Potapenko...I think they have Loren Woods, too. Not that he's the answer or anything...

Miller's D is a lot better than people think.

It's not his lack of ability to play D, it's the fact that the Kings system dictates letting everyone score, just like the Suns.

Go back to when Miller played for the Hornets, Bulls, Pacers he was a ferocious defender, easily one of the league's best, Sacramento ruined him with their "all offense, no defense" style.

a center that doesn't play d - I excepted this part so it should have no bearing on the discussion,
doesn't rebound - his rebounding rate is similar to Juwan Howard's,
doesn't block - Brad Miller averaged less than 1 block per game last season, and all but two other seasons in his career. His career high was 1.21 bpg. He was beat out by TMac and Danny Granger and Dikembe Mutombo in 15 mpg,
and plays away from the basket - Brad was one of the top 3ptA centers in the NBA, and his bread and butter is the elbow jumper.

You're right, it doesn't sound a bit like Brad Miller, it sounds exactly like Brad Miller.

Damn, he's not even 30 years old and he's already labelled with the "veteran" tag. That's usually reserved for guys in their mid 30's that suck...

I've thought for a long time that Petrie was a good GM but this surprises me.

Mo is precocious. He didn't have to wait til he was in his mid-30s to be a veteran sucks guy.

BTW - MoT = Brad Miller? No way. I'd take Miller for the Rox in a NewYorkMinute!!!

Maybe he will prove that he is a shrewd GM with this acquisation.

The Kings need to trade for Eddie Griffin, then they can re-create the Rockets old PF dilemma of Griffin, Taylor and Kenny Thomas. Plus SAR and Corliss for good measure. LOL ;)

Of course MoT is not as good as Brad Miller, I was just pointing out that the description of MoT could also be used to describe Brad Miller (without the defense comment). It is had to say that Miller is not a center that doesn't rebound, doesn't block, and plays away from the basket.

Mo will be a glue guy in SAC... as in he used to be a horse, now he's glue.
