They're gonna overpay for Brooks, but where was this cap space last year? And with the new CBA and maybe a lockout, why risk giving a guy too much?
I don't understand you guys obsession for Cousins. I simply can't see him as a winner despite all his upsides.
I think Morey would actually do the trade I suggested. But I don't think Sacramento would do it. They've been adament about not trading Cousins. They have nothing else we could use. So, it's time to move on and peddle our assets to somebody who wants them. The Yao contract is going to be big.........if they decide to use it.
Why da hell would we trade our only legit player in Scola or an unproven rookie? And to top it all of you want us to trade our only dude who can create for himself? If Scola or Brooks go, we better be getting Melo or CP3 or some other superstar. Cousins? Please.
Well, the Kings will most likely be REQUIRED to spend at least half of that cap room in order to meet the league's minimum salary cap figure. For crissakes, they are just BARELY above the minimum cap right now. At this point, people need to root for Landry and Dalembert to have great seasons individually so that the Kings need to tie up as much cap room as possible in re-signing those two. (Well, rooting for Landry won't be a problem for most of us.)
Interesting proposed deal. Better draft pick this season. Center for the future. Give up a chance to upset the Spurs in first round.
Did you just compare Shaquille O'Neal, one of the best players of all time and a top 3 center of all time, to Demarcus Cousins, a rookie who isn't even the top rookie at the moment and hasn't proved he can be a winner or a mature player on the NBA level? That's just the most absurd statement. I have feeling you're being sarcastic which would be fine, but if not, may god have mercy on your soul.
