At least they got that one win in NY to avoid the 0-fer.

Guranteed they would've been atleast 11-19 if they had Ron Artest.

The kings being this awful is surprising. I know the evidence this season speaks for it self, but geez this was a perennial playoff just a few years back. Playoff teams can't have the same players at a certain level forever, but how the Kings got like this is baffling.

It started when Chris Webber got hurt and went downhill from there.

what does this say about the east v west power balance?

    from what i see
the bottom teams are worse in the west
two of the top three teams are in the east and 3 out of 4 (i dont think the magic is better than the rockets or spurs though)
8 out of the top 11 teams are in the west
to me the significance is in the playoffs
all three rounds for the western conference champions will be tough
at best 2 in the east

I just don't get their fascination with Kevin Martin. He's a nice player, he can shoot...but not much else. Ron out plays him, they ship him out. Salmons out plays him, they ship him out.

People say Melo is overrated, i'd much rather have him as the go-to guy of my team...atleast he gets on the boards.

Yao didn't play that game. TMAC and Ron Ron were a combined 11-39. 'Nuff said.

I remember a few years ago they would just BLOW us out everytime by like 20. Sad to see how far they've fallen.

Man, I wonder how bad it would have been if the East weren't so much weaker than the West.

They suck because they let RA go. They were joke before he got there and there a joke after he leaves. Fortunately for us RA and Artest are with us now.

I would rather have Melo and it's not close at all.

    Seriously...

Rick did a good job too, and they fire him.

They trade away Salmons... who was an exceptionally great player. Not to mention, they gave away Brad Miller.

They traded Bibby for S. Williams. Why? They eventually trade Williams for McCants.

They traded away their valuable assets for nothing. They fired their coaches.

Now they just don't have enough talent.
Jason Thompson and S. Hawes are great low post players.
Kevin Martin is pretty good, but a go-to-guy? I don't see it right now...

What would the team look like if they didn't go into rebuilding mode?

    Coach: Rick/Reggie

    Bibby/Udrih
    Martin/Salmons
    Artest/
    Thompson/Thomas
    Miller/Hawes

A few more draft picks or free agent signings... that team possible could be contenders.

wow it wasnt that long ago that petrie was considered the best GM in the nba with the drafting and moves he made. now that team is a laughing stock and i do think a lot of that is because they let adelman go for no good reason

i feel bad now for the kings, the fans in sacramento are pretty hard core and still support that team despite all the shortcomings. the maloofs were hit really hard with the madoff bust read they lost up to 100 million.

i dont think they even traded their assets for future draft picks (outside of the first round they get from us this year for artest) which would at least help the rebuilding process.

its a dark time right now if you are a kings fan
