King James is the most over-rated player in the league period. If he was in the West do you honestly think his team would get higher than a 6th seed? His team didn't even win the Central division, now they are in the finals. He beat the Arenaless Wizards, a scrubby NJ team, and the Ben Wallaceless Pistons. What a great player he is! Talk about the easiest road to the finals ever.

The media and a hell of a lotta people are making like he is god... but all he reminds me of is a bigger Richard Jefferson (which is OK but not GREAT). You know whats sad is that Oden and Durant (The next superstars) are in the West so for the next generation we get to watch LeBron come out of the East and get swept by a superior West team. How boring is that?

The Rockets would have the #1 seed if they were in the East. They were 24-6 against them last year. Imagine the holyness T-Mac and Yao would be getting if they were in the East. LeBron has it really good right now and for a long time. Why crown him King when he will be the next Jim Kelly?

    not overrated.

he's 22 years old and the Cavs wouldn't even be an Eastern playoff team without him.

Pistons are a legitimate contender IMO and he pretty much carried the Cavs over them.

he's much better than Richard Jefferson.

He is good, but not the best player in the league, like some people says.

I think most of Lebron haters here don't really hate Lebron, it's just an overreaction to all the media attention that he has received over the years

The guy is a stud, but you are correct that the Rockets would be in the finals if they were an Eastern team...that conference sucks a donkey ball.

Lebron is already the second most talented scorer in this league (behind Kobe), and he's only 22. He single-handedly beat a great Pistons team. And he's not yet hit his peak. Lebron is NOT overrated.

Lebron is pretty good. I think you need to step back and realize that he's only going to get better.

Plus Jordan didn't his 1st championship to much later.

The media has definitely overhyped him, and i feel that even LeBron has bought into it himself.

I see LeBron as Shaq when he came into the league, freakish athletic talent, amazing power and speed and the world at their knees praising a flawed, incomplete player.

I only hope Lebron really works on his game over the next few seasons and realises his full potential, at least he works to keep in shape, that's a good start.

As for this series, the Cavs suck and this only goes to show that one player cannot carry a team of scrubs and a sorry coach to a championship.

The Cavs could have drafted Carmello Anthony, Bosh, or DWade, and still made the finals. What is your point?

Do you honestly believe the Pistons would have beat the Mavs, Spurs, Suns, or even the Rockets in a 7 game series? The Pistons would not have won the title even if they made it to the finals. Saying LeBron carried him over the Pistons really ain't saying much.

I agree he is a little better than RJ due to the fact hes taller and stronger.

Why is that so many people on this site just can't give lebron his due? Sure he's overhyped, that's always been the case, but if you think he's not an MVP caliber player or worthy of mention in the best player discussion you are nuts.

Just because the Spurs have more talent by far doesn't diminish the fact that LeBron has taken a rag tag team to the finals and beat a more talented team in detroit, and you could argue new jersey has more talent as well. As a Horn, I love Boobie's coming out party, but when he legitmately deserves consideration as the cavs 2nd best player, you know lebron has no help.

And to anyone who thinks t-mac is better, get the red homer glasses off ASAP. T-Mac doesn't beat the pistons in the conf finals with that team. T-Mac doesn't will his team to win game 5 like LeBron did.

None of those players would have taken lebron's cavs to the finals by beating detroit except wade. Little better than Richard Jefferson? Give me a break, LeBron is a top 5 player in the league, Jefferson is a nice role player.

I mean what is similar between those two players? That they both play SF? LeBron is bigger, more aggressive, has much better court awareness and passing skills, makes teammates better and plays better defense when he focuses on it.

    edit: didn't see wade listed

I hate people that think a 22 year old who has already brought his team the the NBA FINALS is overrated. He is a great player, one of the best in the league. He got through every team in the east. Detroit was considerd a very good team until the cavs beat them. Jamesis not overrated, he is good.

He makes his teammates better with passing and they elevate their game in his presence. Do you have any idea how rare of a quality that is?! I thought he was overrated too. Until this season.

Lebron isnt even the most overrated player in the SERIES! Like I said in the other thread, Tony Parker is overrated. He doesnt extend the defense he doesnt make his teammates better.

And yes. Ill put the pic of him back up too.

Wow... you are a LeBron Lover. I don't even care for RJ and I agree LeBron is better. But if I had to compare James with anyone it would be him. Watch how they play then you'll see how their playing styles are similar. If RJ was the #1 option and he was put in the same situation as LeBron he could possibly have the same stats (scoring wise), except his assists and rebounds would be lower because of his height/build/awareness. Both of them play the same style defensive, take it to the rack strong, can shoot it from anywhere.

all you have to say is that you hate lebron.

dont hate the game my friend. He is that good. Look at the road the 94 rockets took to get to the finals. at the time hakeem was the only recognizable player outside of texas.

He will be a great player when its all said and done. You are going to have to deal with it.

This sounds like a personal problem to me.
    Worthless thread

Uh, you called him only a little better than jefferson. You didn't say he has a similar style to jefferson but is a lot better. If you think lebron is only a little better than jefferson, you need to watch a lot more basketball.

Jefferson can't create his own shot, and doesn't have the playmaking skills of lebron. They aren't remotely in the same stratosphere as a player.

The only thing that is similar about them is they that both are more comfortable slashing and scoring inside.

Your just saying this because he got through the "tough" East. Like I said earlier if he was in the West no one would be mentioning his name and great in the same sentence. He just got the luck of the draw. I knew people would go bezerk if he were to beat the Pistons, and guess what? They did. Now when he loses to the Spurs, people will give him a pass (He's only 22 years old, No help on his team, MJ didn't win his first for awhile), but hardly no one will admit hes overrated because he plays in the "tough" East.
