Maloofs say "NO" to Peja's demand to GO, so -- what do they do?

My sense is they would love a way to deal C-Webb.

I've wondered before, and I will throw out there again:

    C-Webb -- overpaid, semi-lame for
MoT -- overpaid (but less), semi-game and Spoon -- overpaid, overweight, but game to play.

Rox get the better talent -- but pay $45+/- mil for the priviledge.

Which team should do this deal, which should avoid it -- or should they talk?

I wouldnt do it if I were the Rockets. Webber may be better than Taylor, but Taylor knows his role. We have two stars on this team that should get the ball, and the rest have to do their part. Webber would consider himself part of a "big three" and demand the ball as much as Yao or Mcgrady.

Three years ago, hell yes. Today, no thanks.

if Webber is on the block, Jerry West will snap him right up... he's got some young parts to trade and a Gasol/Webber tandem would be sick

    Wells-Swift(S&T) for Webber.... Yikes

Houston can't deal for another star... lets not be greedy or delusional

C-Webb is the most overrated player of all time.

Sorry, but I think Scottie Pippen deserves that label. Top 50 players ever my a$$.

Interesting that no early replies favor Webber ...

If Webb were on the market where does he go? I think he'd be a lousy fit in LogoLand (sorry, lpbman, but that's my opinion). Mavs? Are there pieces to make a deal? Knicks? Thomas and Nazr? 6ers?

C-Webb would be difficult to trade -- but is it a necessity for Kings to hang onto Peja?

Or does acquiring his buddy JuWann get the Kings 'straightened out'?

Webber has a long term max contract. T-mac is about to sign a max extension. And no team can absorb more than two max contracts, so the end result would be us losing Yao next year because I'm sure many teans will clear enough cap to sign him.

So i like Webber and everything, but no thanks.

He signed a contract worth $122 million three years ago. His knees are falling apart.

Mo and Spoon are too slow for the kings game anyways.

Really Xiki? Gasol on the inside, Webber on the outside? CWeb is really only effective in the high post imo... he's never going to be an inside banger but has good range and passing abilities

Who would you rather play along side Gasol, if you were Jerry West?
    just curious:)

Mavs could make the move but it would be silly, given Dirk needs to be at the 4, not 3.

Webber and Kidd both are less than appealing to teams; they're a major gamble due to injuries/age and have 2 of the top 8 contracts in the league for the rest of the decade.

Honestly, the Knicks are the only team I can think of that would be willing and able to make the move for Webber.

over-rated or not, there's no way c-webb's trading value is so low as approximately equal to MoT and Spoon... with our team right now, I just don't see we land any more stars no matter what. think about it, freaking MoT is our best trading piece... :(

Why would the Kings trade Webber for MoT/Spoon? Even though he is overpaid and always injured, he is still better than MoT and Spoon combined.

Plus, the Rockets don't need to add another big contract to the table. TMac/Yao will already have max deals for the next 6-7 years, and Howard is under contract for the next 5.

No way, C-webb would do nothing but cause problems on this team. We've got enough star power, all we need now are role players.

C-Webb has never caused problems with teamates. Coaches yes. But the guy catches more heat for deferring to other players than anything else.

The Knicks should go after him.

    Nazr
    Webber
    Tim Thomas
    Houston/Crawford
    Marbury/Crawford

That would be a great team to watch.
