she was a semi-famous model in the 60s (UK) who married Keith Moon, the famous freakshow of a drummer from The Who. she left that drug-and-alcohol-laden assassin of the battery and married Ian McLagan (of The Small Faces and The Faces and numerous other projects including stints with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, etc.)
i posted this mostly for the old-timers who are into the music/scene of that era.

I saw this earlier today. Got to meet Ian (and Mandy Moon) when my old LA band opened for him at Raji's waaay back in 1988. Great guy with great Rolling Stones stories...especially stories about Mick and Keith's penny-pinching ways. I feel very sorry for Ian. It looked like he and Kim set up a great life for themselves in Bastrop. Very sad.

they have lived out in manor for about 15 years. i was actually driving in manor on fm 969, just south of 290 around 2:00 and drove by a tow-truck with a black cruiser. the drivers side was totally smashed in and i thought to myself, "the driver didnt survive that one".

than this morning i saw this...

Ian played a show I worked back in 2002, he's a class guy and a great bloke -- even better, he's a brilliant keys player. I'm a big of huge fan, own every Small Faces and Faces album/comp there is to be had, and he's one of the few 60s/70s guys that managed to escape everything with a sense of perspective. He's fought for Small Faces royalties and been Ronnie Lane's John the Baptist -- and I feel terrible for him right now.

It's really unbelievable. When I read the Statesman this morning, it freaked me out. :(
