I'm TOTALLY SURE The Donald didn't send a little birdy to whisper in President Bukake's (or however you spell it) ear.

    What a ****ing joke.

Die already you incontinent orange monster. You are a stain on humanity.

I think you are mistaken. Trump never tried to convince him to return Garcia. Trump wants him there. He isn’t about to have Garcia return and have to answer questions about the “mistake”.

This is horrific. It isn't conservative, but I expect the resident MAGA supporters to twist themselves into knots defending:
    • The wrongful kidnapping and disappearance of a resident who was allowed to stay in the US by an immigration judge
    • The denial of habeas corpus and due process by the state
    • The obstruction of the judicial branch by the executive branch
    • The willful deprivation of liberty, and perhaps life, of somebody the administration admits it shouldn't have apprehended in the first place
Disgusting and shameful. All of you. As if a phone call from the president of the US couldn't locate this man in 30 minutes (if he is still alive to be located at all). That, of course, would require a president who isn't a monster.

If Trump wanted Garcia back - Bukele would have him on a plane in 15 minutes of hanging up the phone.

Trump is testing the waters with the public and the Supreme Court to see what they will allow him to get away with.

The last thing Trump wants is Garcia coming back and describing what it was like in an El Salvadorian super max prison.

Trump learned from his first term - do not let the immigrants be humanized, as long as he can uncontested label them all as rapists and gang members, he can ship them wherever he wants to.

Also this is the reasoning for the Supreme Court's loose language on what it means to facilitate the return while not giving a deadline for the return.

The Supreme Court is afraid that Trump will show the hand of the SC in its feckless ability to enforce. They know the moment he directly in a obvious manner ignores Supreme Court orders, their positions have been turned into ceremonial figureheads rather than actually having any semblance of power.

It's in the self interest of the SC to issue orders in a manner in which Trump can have plausible deniability in abjectly ignoring SC orders.

You guys are angry because El Salvador will not give up one of its citizens to the US, meanwhile our government has been killing thousands and thousands of innocent people all over the middle east. And all they get is an "oops. my bad".

Us leftists are well known for our support of dropping explosive ordinance on the Middle East.

But it's kinda funny that an erosion of basic civil liberties within America is people being irrationally angry.

Good job sir. You've made the defense of the Bill of Rights a woke talking point.

The wokes are pro bill of rights. You gave them that with your lack of defense of it.

I largely agree - what it tells me is that the SCOTUS is afraid that if they rule strongly that Congress and the public will tolerate Trump ignoring their orders. We already have seen this game played with Trump disagreeing with what the Court meant and Roberts issuing statements and waiting to see how Trump responds.

Your whataboutism in every freaking thread proves you have no defense of your God so why not just say nothing?

"You have to allow me a soft landing after decades of defending an ideology where the end state of said ideology is what we are seeing now under the Trump administration because it really hurts by identity so let me in the process do some whataboutisms to help with my mental health "

    - @Space Ghost

I think that's what is going on in his head.

Then stop being programmed to be angry. Think for yourself for once. Is that too much to ask?

Here is another whataboutism.... What about all those black folk locked up for years due to bogus weed charges? Oh yea, my bad. Democrats never gave a **** about the black community.

I have more detailed hatred of Democrat party than you. I can list you more detailed analysis of why Democrats are doggy doodoo.

Yet I'm not doing whataboutisms to soften the actions of fascists.

Thank you, President Bush and his collaborators with the Democratic party. Obama and Bernie were two of the few that had the guts to not go along. Still, the moral relativism of this statement is unpersuasive. We can't continue to cite our past abuses as justification if we ever want to stop future abuses.

In 2028, I hope we elect a President who will strive to Make America Good Again. The story of America is that we have done some bad things throughout history, but in the end we repented, made amends and strove to be a moral example for all Americans, and the rest of the world. Not necessarily the shining city on the hill that Reagan talked about in flowerily language, but at least a force for good.

Agree. Truth be heard, the way the many here talk about immigrants in general is just... warped. Many of the loudest and most demented voices are from people that voted for a man that literally tried to overturn the results of a free and fair election. And yet, in their twisted minds, someone that came to this country with little more than the shirt on his or her back is human scum that should crawl back where they came from...

Odds that we see some college students sent to El Salvador before the end of the summer?

By the end of the summer we might see people like political streamers, journalists, college students activists, Democrat politicians and GOP politicians that challenge Trump in El Salvador.
