    btw,

check out Todd MacCulloch's numbers tonight:
    29 points, 11-14 FG's, 7-7 FT, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks

thoroughly outclassing *ahem* Vladimir Radmanovic. Booth didn't play due to injury.

NJ getting Kidd (who makes 3-4 mill less than Marbury) was highway robbery.

He makes everyone around him better and is able to create so many easy basket opportunities.

Did anyone see his ally oop to Kenyon before the end of the 1st half?

Actually Kidd has a lot to do with the Rockets. Think about it. Rudy could have turned Francis into a 25-30 ppg night player. Just like Marbury. Who appears to be a loser. Instead he asked him to pass the ball to the vets. Just like Kidd. Who appears to be a winner. And look at Francis now. 5-1 and getting Kidd like numbers. It goes to show you that if you put the team first you can win all the way around.

It's a matter of developing strengths. When Marbury was drafted with the Wolves, he was supposed to take over the offense, and let KG and Googs clean up his misses. When the T-Wolves traded him, he went to a team that didn't have anyone to do what KG does. Marbury is a scorer first. He needs rebounders to maximize his effectiveness.

Phoenix is a scary looking team on paper. (a couple of years ago, Googs, Marbury, Hardaway EACH averaged 22+ points a game, and that doesn't even consider Marion) BUT, they are top heavy in scoring. They don't have consistant rebounding, or anyone to do the dirty work.

I almost feel bad for Marbury. He had so much potential, and his ego got in the way. Almost.

Ma ga-ga-Marion is a consistent rebounder. He and Wallace can be described as their garbage men.

What they lack is consistent 3 pt shooter to stretch out the D. If you gave them a great 3 pt shooter, Marbury, Penny, and Marion would have a picnic at the basket. I don't count Rodney Rogers as a consistent 3 pt shooter.
