I haven't seen Dallas play since Kidd went there, but I have seen stats which show the increase in the number of FT attempts that Dirk is getting. His points are going up without having to take as many jumpers. That's is a matter of concern for other teams including us of course.
kidd would be the leader of any team he plays on, but how much can you lead guys like dirk and josh who shoot 47% with a poor distributing point. **** the whole team averages 46% from the field.
I'm sorry but this is a stupid question. Everyone from Cubes on down to the trainer knows that Dirk isn't comfortable as the "leader" on a team. I don't necessarily think its a bad thing but theres no doubt its JKidds team now.
It's just nice to know that one of their leaders is a choke artist while the other one can't hit the broad side of a barn. Unfortunately, they have some pretty clutch role players in Stack, Terry an Josh Howard to shoot the shots that franchise players are supposed to.
Dont be fooled. Increased FTs only means he is flopping more than ever. Dirk is a superstar based on circumstances. Put a tall mobile defender on him and force him to put the ball on the floor and he becomes a liability. He wont face this problem often during regular season but this turns into an issue during playoffs.
Kidd, I guess. I mean he basically just got done admitting that he quit on that New Jersey team but he is a true floor general and a veteran that's been around for a long, long time.
Yeah, Im in full agreement...They had a shooter with blonde hair that was given the MVP for no true reason other than he was the leading scorer on the best team...I argued that last season their best player all year long was Josh Howard. Dirk could have taken a week off and that team would not have missed a beat. Take J. Ho away and the bottom falls out! That MVP was a nice gesture from the league to bring in new fans...He was only sort of deserving...I believe that it should be mainly unanomous and it was not that at all! Once again the NBA does that wait your turn thing to young players so that the veterans can get the glory. Anyone remember Tim Duncan's second season? He should have been MVP, but the NBA went for Karl Malone. The NBA has denied Kobe and LeBron for far too long. No MVP should be punked (not beaten) ourt of the first round of the playoffs!
