I guess that throws a monkeywrench in the Spurs "dynasty". http://espn.go.com/nba/preview2002/columns/wojnarowski_adrian/1451770.html I think kidd will stay good for a long while though, PG's usually last pretty long because they can rely on smarts rather than athleticism. NJ might be a legit title contender someday if Martin and Jefferson continue to improve and they find a decent Center, as mutombo is running on fumes at this point.
Kidd staying in New Jersey is best for him, they have the makings of an Eastern Conference dynasty, and the potential to grab a championship ring or two during their run. I don't know where the media is getting that Mutombo is running on fumes, he is still putting up big numbers defensively and on the glass.
I've been through it too many times... like arguing with a brick wall. Best not to waste your energy.
They don't have a shot to beat anyone in the West. If he played in San Antonio they would have an even better chance at winning it all.
It's ok, we've got Power 106.7 6 or whatever it calls itself to be resident spurs whipping boy for the time being anyway....
