Kind of funny that back when my mother went to Lamar, it was considered the rich, stuck up high school in Houston. My mother hated going there because she lived on the wrong (north) side of the bayou.

Another funny fact, Lamar High School is named after Mirabeau Buonaparte Lamar (August 16, 1798 – December 19, 1859) who was the second president of the Republic of Texas. The mascot of Lamar High School is the Redskin which is funny because Mirabeau Lamar hated indians. Lamar was a fierce opponent of fellow Texan Sam Houston. Houston and Lamar had different views on virtually every topic relating to the development of the new Republic, from finances to dealing with Texas Native Americans (of whom he favored eradication) to the Annexation of Texas into the United States (which he opposed).

actually from coming from a high school in which it was over 85 % mexican (hispanic) the foreign born were actually quiet and laying low since they felt like they didnt fit in rarely they didnt start in promblems. The knuckleheads were your gangsters or wannabes hard a$$ who once again were american/mexican.

 

where was the teacher? things like this should obviously be able to be prevented. kids are idiots, you can't leave them alone.

in other news i was at a party with my gf this weekend. it was her friends birthday party and a ton of super mojodo guys showed up. you know the ones with the mullets and stuff. anyhow, they really reinforce negative stereotypes about mexican men and how they treat women. i couldn't understand most of what they were saying, but being the only white guy there you pretty much know they are talking about you and your girl. i heard one of them call her fresa (which she is lol) and then later she told me they were asking her why she was with a white guy and that she should stick to her kind. she also told me that one of them asked her if he could f**k her t*** while she was waiting in line for the bathroom.

you can call me racist and i really don't care because it's true. whenever a girl comes around mexican/latin guys stare like she is a piece of meat. yeah guys do it in general but it much worse with hispanics...and if you don't know that then you don't know what you are talking about.

i need to learn how to speak more fluent spanish and learn all the slang because that stuff makes me mad. hell if you are gonna talk **** then do it in my language.

But seriously, in high school i remember some of the straight from Mexico students talk trash about us "american born" if we didn't speak perfect spanish. Hell they don't even speak proper spanish. Anyway's it was only a few of them and you can really tell who they were, the one's that wore wrangler jeans and cowboy hats to school and drove Chevy trucks with those stupid wheels that stick out, geez, it makes me embarassed to think that people would see them and assume all hispanics are like that
