Did anyone see the 10pm news on Channel 11 last night? They did a story about the empty seats at Toyota Center and why it's a constant problem at Rockets games. They interviewed fans and some of the Red Rowdies about why the seats in the lower bowl are always empty, since the Rockets didn't have a comment about the problem. Good to see the news media in Houston finally covering a constant problem at Rockets games regarding the corporate seats.

I doubt things will get better because of this, the only way to fix it is to take the tix away from the corporates, but we all know that aint happening

This has always bothered me, but what can you do? It's sad how all the other major market teams don't have problems filling in seats in the lower section.

I dunno, How you gonna solve this issue. I used to work for a big fortune 500 company and it was hard to find people to take all the tickets meaning that for 50 percent of the games, you wouldn't have takers for the tickets. Then you gave them to employees for free just to get rid of them.

To be honest, that's what these corporations need to do. If they are running into a problem giving tickets away, they should have some type of exchange/bulletin board where regular fans can buy or bid on them them for a lower rate and fill up the lower bowl. Otherwise, the corporation just loses money on wasted seats.

The corporations don't like wasting these tickets anymore than anyone else. So if they can't attend, then they should have a way of getting their money back by putting their tickets up for sale. And make it easy. Like put it on a Rockets internet ticket trading board or something.

craigslist and the like would be too much extra work. the rockets need to setup a ticket exchange program that would apply to all ticket holders, not just the corporations. another team i support, arsenal f.c. in london, has a 60k seat stadium and sells out every game, plus a 45k season ticket waiting list and another 180-200k (can't remember how high it is now) paid members behind them. ticket holders who can't make the game log on the arsenal ticket exchange site and put their tickets up and the 180-200k members can buy the tickets on the morning of the game. with regards to buying the ticket on the morning of the game, that's possible because they don't issue paper tickets they just activate the card you swipe at the stadium entrances. the club keeps 10% of the ticket cost for administrative reasons and the remaining 90% is credited to your account for when you buy season tickets the next season.

everyone wins, the arena is full, ticket owners that can't make the game make some money back to help cut costs on the next season's tickets and fans who want a ticket to a game that's listed as sold out can get one at cost.

i hate that we don't have a proper presence at the games..i know a guy who has a bunch of seats in like the 8th row.. the douche bag rarely goes to the games and when he doesnt go he tries to sell em and if he doesnt sell them he won;t even give them away... it's ppl like that, that take away from the spirit at the games.. o and the guy is from dallas, go figure...
