It looks like a easy game but the clippers have alot of youth and athletic players, we shouldnt take them lightly. 1. The bench has to be really big tonight 2. Defense, play defense from the start to show clippers that it will be a long night for them. 3. Do NOT get fancy with them. All those playground stuff needs a rest tonight, clippers also have some thugs like us, so they know how it works. 4. Dont let Darius Miles score early. 5. Big Game from Franchise. PS. just show up this youthful Clippers team is not going to do anything this early in the season. Just like Orlando can't simply "turn it on" because they have two superstars. Team's need more than individual achievements. They need chemistry like the Rockets. Don't underestimate our chemistry. We Rock!!!
Since the Clippers are a young team, you dont know what they will do. They can come out kicking ass or falling on the floor. I agree Francis, the Clips have much more talent this year than they have had for a good while, and even though they have no chemistry at this point, on any given night, that talent might have a breakthrough and learn to work together, at least for a short while. The Rockets have their work cut out for them. We have no one that matches up with Lamar Odom (and don't say Wiz, Odom will light him up) Also Maggette is doing very well for them. Shandon can't guard everyone. Another mismatch for them is Skinner. He is like Brian Grant, controls the boards and is a workhorse. And as for Miles, he does not play like an 18 year old. Clippers suck. Skinner is NOT that good. He doesn't even get that many boards. Please don't compare him to Grant, unless its HOrace. Clippers have no pg. Olowakandi hasn't shown anything yet. If the rockets let them stick and have a close game through the end, I see houston losing. I can see us losing this game. I think that totally discounting the Clippers just based on the fact that the Clippers have sucked recently is the kind of thinking that CAN get us beat. I'll admit, I haven't seen a Clippers game, but cmon, comparing Skinner to Brian Grant is off base. If Skinner was that good, he would be second only to Odom on that team, and clearly Skinner's numbers are sub-par. Clippers had a lot of weapons last year too.
