Hey guys, if you haven't seen, Fry's has put both the G11 and X6 on sale this week for $29, which is a steal for either one.

I have been wanting a good backlit keyboard for quite a while, and now they have both on sale at the the same time.

Looking through Amazon's reviews, but I trust you folks more than them in most cases.

Just wondering if any of you have used one or both of these, and what your thoughts are, if anyone can say with confidence that one is better than the other.

    Thanks

I don't have any experience with either of these, but in all of my years in IT, Logitech has always dominated. Plus, their warranties are fantastic- every time I've called in a dead keyboard or mouse, they've always sent me a replacement.

I just bought the G11 a week or two ago and it's great. If you're a gamer you can use the G buttons on the left to program macros. There's a switch to turn off the Windows button (again, for gamers) so you won't accidentally minimize the game if you hit the windows button. All the keys are backlit and are still easily readable when the backlight is off. There is a button that controls the backlight and there are two levels of lighting. It also has the usual media buttons like volume control, play, pause, next, and back. The keys are fairly responsive and aren't too loud when you type, if you're bothered by that sort of thing.

Is this advertised in the Fry's ad? If I can find my receipt I may go get credit for it.

Crap, sorry for the double post, but there's no post edit. I forgot to add that the G11 is a little bit longer than the standard keyboard because of the G macro keys. If desk space is a factor, you may want to consider that. Also, two USB ports on the keyboard that you can use.
