This is a long-term question, as in by the end of the season and into the playoffs, what do you see as the winning approach to the Rockets being able to score in the final two minutes of a close game - dependence on Yao Ming to initiate the offense, or dependence on team ball? This is not a trick question, a lot of coaches have said they fully expect Yao to get the ball in crunch time, but the real question is, is this best for the team long-term to be so predictable, or is it still our best chance to score despite that?

I think we need to run adelman's offense in the sense that instead of Yao getting the ball in the post at the beginning of the play, he should get at the end of the play after everybody has run the motion offense. This makes it easier for Yao to get a better and easier shot. (I think bullard said something along these lines while announcing a game and it made alot of sense)

Having Tmac back for one will help. Late the in 4th, everything should be leading to the basket. I don't want to see any jumpshots that aren't wide open.

team ball is cool but when you have the most dominate post player you gotta go with him in crunch time.....because tmac would pull up from mid range and i dont really like that shot espcially in crunch time because it might lead to fastbreak points

    bottom line

work it in then let the open shots rain

Nothing is easy in the last 2 minutes of the game. What works early doesn't work late. Getting the ball down low to Yao early in the possesion gives him more time to work and if nothing is there than someone must be open. Yesterday Yao should have gotten 4 free throws on two bad non calls and the game would have been over had that happen. We were robbed but the right choice was made... get it to Yao. He did miss one shot late but everyone else was batting zero down the stretch.

Dang it, this was supposed to be the live thread and the other, with the same name, without the poll, was a mistake. Any way to close that one?
