Really? This entire movie looks r****ded. Seth Rogen has had his 15 minutes of fame. It's over. They already did this movie in the 2 minute tub scene in 40 year old virgin. I think I need to call my LA peeps to start production on "Fatty makes a juvenile movie that has at least 10 fart jokes." I'll make a mint.
Fatty: Of course it's r****ded. Hysterical does not have to imply "charmingly brilliant comedy of an extremely intelligent caliber". Not having seen any other of seth's movies - I'm probably more forgiving though.
I saw a movie on Comedy Central with the same concept. It was a National Lampoon's movie. 3 teenage dorks create their own porno company. Juvenile humor ensues. Spoiler The dorks never got to filming the good stuff cause of problems...set catches on fire, parents come early, male actor can't perform, etc. In the end, a rival porno company puts them out of business by threat of death...when the rivals find out the other company in their market is run by kids they buy the preorders and offer them jobs.
Knocked Up was an amazingly good movie, and Rogen was the lead. Pineapple Express was funny too. Seth Rogen is hilarious. You are not. DWI... (deal with it)
I thought Knocked up was laughably bad and had a premise that was completely unbelievable. Any woman would've run away screaming from that character.
Knocked Up was easily the worst of all his movies so far. It wasn't that bad, it just wasn't up to 40 Year Old Virgin standards. The only one that has come close has been Pineapple Express.
Knocked Up is the best of the Apatow movies in my mind, and several well educated film students agree with me. It was almost shockingly harsh and realistic unlike the warped world you call reality fatty. Paul Rudd is fantastic in a slightly more serious role. I've enjoyed all of the movies, but 40 year old Virgin was a little too long, Superbad was a little too cliche, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall was a little too cheesy. Pineapple Express was just good clean stupid funny. I laughed the most throughout that one.
I thought Knocked Up was good and I wasn't in love with 40 yr old virgin. I think the fact that we have these debates tells us that it's not dead at all. Anyway, isn't Fatty in his forties? I don't mean this offensively, but you aren't the target demo of these movies anymore anyway.
seth rogen reminds me of vince vaughn, neither are funny alone, but with the right support, they're 'bearable'
Vince Vaughn is hilarious in the right roles. I actually think his new movie with Reese Witherspoon looks downright funny, and I can't stand Reese.
