Who is this guy? Granted, I don't keep up with you young kids and your hippity hop rock and roll music, but I have to admit this song is catchy. I like Lil Wayne, but I think Lil Wayne spoiled this song. I did not like how the mood changed when Lil Wayne started to rap.
Isn't that the famous 120 beats per minute "Disco" formula? (Syncopated hand claps need to be removed from every producer's drum machine every where)
I believe (if i'm not mistaken) Kevin Rudolf was one of Lil' Wayne's backup men, one of the background guys, did a little production work and DJing at times I believe. The story has it, no one really took him seriously when he said he wanted to branch off in this direction and sing, but apparently he performed once and it worked, so they rolled with it. Definitely catchy. He's got a new single coming soon with Rick Ross.
I checked out some of his cuts on iTunes. Nothing I would buy, but probably enough to make him the pop flavor of the month.
