How much do you think he's worth? He doesn't create offense for his teammates. He's good at shooting and creating offense for himself. Do you think he will get paid $10 million per season? I think the Thunder will try to low-ball him, but he end up signing with them for 4 years, $36 million. He's averaging: 15 PPG on 45.6%FG 43.3% 3FG% 90% FT 2.3 RPG 1 steal 1 assist 1.4 TO 29 minutes
They should package him with their rookie, Jeremy Lamb (I heard he's the next Reggie Miller) and some draft picks and see what that lands them.
This. I think the one thing the trade deadline showed us (besides the value of draft picks) is that large contracts will get you in trouble with the new luxury tax rules. Martin at 3 years and $8mil per is a good contract for both the team and Martin.
Depends on the market but he's def 10 mill a season guy. He's a good robin or batgirl fora championship team. But this offseason he's the best sg. Available sgs Jr smith Mayo Vc Reddick Ellis. Most have a player option so if any team lacks a sg they will go with Kevin Martin easily.
KM's 10M contract was paid with him looking like a middle man's reggie miller...basically he was being molded as Sac's franchise star so he got that amount. At this point in his career I think KM has been through enough bad teams and just wants to be a vital part of a winning organization. His role as OKC's 6th man is perfect for him, and I see him resigning there long term at 6-8M a year and basically being their own Ginobili/Harden.
