Poll coming soon. So with the deadline I feel like Martin was the primary guy to ship out, considering his play has been less than spectacular, he seems happy when the team fails and his play is weak. Some even think he is unhappy to be here. Of all the players to ship out, I feel like this was it. Anyone else disappointed?
The way the team has been moving the ball lately, and with some locker room leadership with Camby and maybe fisher, I'll give him the rest of the season to redeem himself.
I am neutral. Depends how he handles himself going forward. I'm not usually in favor of trading people when they're playing they're worst, but damn has he been in free fall.
Now that the trade deadline is over, he'll go back to his old self and average his 20ppg. I'm just glad we didn't just give him away and traded him for nothing.
His value was at an all-time low. We probably got offers, but it would've been selling ourselves really short compared to what his expiring will be worth.
No he won't the rules have changed, and he needs a particular type of system to excel. And no matter how many points he scores, he always negates that by giving up as many or more. I hope they get rid of him at the draft, he is not worth it, and is holding back better players who could use the time in Lee and Budinger.
I'm sure an entire year of mostly garbage play won't come back to bite him once he's trying to negotiate his next contract either.
Morey wouldn't include him in a deal for Bogut. Then they didn't want to take on SJax, same years as Martin but less money, but the Spurs do and did?
