This is not about whether it was intentional or not, the league reviewed it and suspended him so the intent was clear. However, 2 games seems rather meager to say the least. A punch easily gets guys 5-10 games but a intentional kick to the head / chest area is only 2 games worth. Fair...? For me it's a clear no and had a scrub or player with a history done it, it would've been way more.

    Any community service required?

Seems fair enough. I suppose this didn't look as bad as a punch in anger or the Suh stomp in the NFL. It is possible that part of it was Love getting tangled up down there, though he should have still tried to avoid stepping on Scola.

I think it's fair since you can't clearly say it was intentional. If it was though i would expect at least 10 games. It is what it is.

I say fair, because I didn't think the league was get suspended at all. I'm pleasantly surprised to hear Stern dropped the hammer, even if lightly.

    2 games is enough..

I thought it was going to be one game, if any.

Stepping on a player while running back is hard to prove whether it was intentional or not.

Fair. Of course if he keeps playing that "style" then I would think they'd escalate it each time it happens.

It's fair only because it was a first-time offense. Next time he does something douchebaggish again, the punishment will be more severe.

It'd be great if he was suspended for 2 games against the Rockets.

Due to the NBA's interest in the Hornets, this was a sticky situation. Considering the Hornets have the Wolves unprotected first round pick, the longer Love is suspended, the better it should be for the Hornets. The NBA has painted itself into a corner with any discipline regarding the Wolves. If they suspend too long, the critics will cry that they are only doing so to improve the odds of that draft pick being higher.

I was worried about Stern not doing anything also. Guess it's fair, though I'd liked it to be 5 games.

Fair. Thought he would get the superstar treatment and get 0.

2 games is fine, no blood drawn. Hopefully, they settle it on the court next game.

True. But the league had the benefit of slow-mo. Love clearly cocked that leg a bit.

He doesn't have a history of being a dirty player. I also don't think it was purely intentional. 2 games is fair.
