    He should go to a team that could actually use him. There's too many teams in the NBA and it's a shame that good players have to rot on awful teams

    right now the only players who the 'curse' hasnt effected, but jury still out on

    danny granger (received it in the 08-09 season so it may happen soon)
    monta ellis - but at the same time the team has gone straight down hill and he did have that injury he blamed on snowboarding was it?

    lesser extent:
    aaron brooks but he just took a fall - face first

    actually the only person it hasnt affected recently oddly enough is:
    zach randolph - who went on to become an all-star 6 years after receiving the award. Then again Randolph sucked for a while when he was on the Knicks and Clippers but got his act together when he went to Memphis.


    and the only other player i would say it didnt slow down was Kevin Johnson

    I guess I could see where the MIP curse talk is coming from. Its sort of 50/50 in the way it turns out. For every Bobby Simmons and Hedo Turkoglu I guess, you might get a Monta Ellis or Z-Bo.

    I don't quite get it.

    Top 5 Lottery Pick. Should at least be very good, lest he be considered a bust

    Has a great rookie season.

    Has marked improvement his second season. (averaged 11 rebounds)

    Came into his own third season.

    I just thought this award was typically for guys who came out of nowhere or out of obscurity. Guys who were not really expected to be good. That or the improvement was more steep or occurred later in their career than the somewhat expected incremental development Love showed.

    Derek Rose should have been considered for the MIP award this season by this rationale.

    I dont see how Love can get much better .....If he goes to a contender, he will become David Lee II

    It didn't affect McGrady too.

    I think the curse doesn't work on players that improve to all star level, because players that improve to that level are most likely not having a simple "boom" season.

    A few players in the past have improved, but not to the point of all star level, pretty much all of those guys regressed.
