In case you're wondering how he's doing...

    HOW DID THE ROOKIES DO?
The general consensus among the coaching staff was that the rookies got off to a collective good start. Tight end Brent Cesak stood out after reviewing the film, and quarterback Kevin Kolb was tremendous. Running backs Tony Hunt and Nate Ilaoa digested and processed the information and went and made some mistakes and also did a lot of good things.

Defensively, the Eagles liked what they saw from their young defensive backs, and they know both C.J. Gaddis and Rashad Barksdale have work ahead of them. Linebacker Stewart Bradley moved well and was in the right places, and end Victor Abiamiri moved very well for a big man. He is going to push for playing time.

Kolb was the star of the show, as expected. He took a third of the reps -- maybe a touch more -- and aced the mental game. Of the five practices, Kolb was tremendous in four of them and had a blip or two in one of the workouts.

He was about as good as a rookie can be in his first mini-camp. That is how the coaches saw his performance.

It's good to hear he's doing well. :D

I saw the NFL Live bit where the did this...Those guys are still saying McNabb will start (no big stretch there) and that the contract offer to McNabb will dictate how long he stays...If I remember correctly, McNabb got a ridiculous contract last time ($100MM???) so I'm not sure what he'll be expecting this time, given how he always gets injured...

    Glad Kolb did well...

So does this mean the Texans passed up on 5 franchise QBs in the last 2 drafts?

Dave Spadaro is usually pretty unbiased with his break down of games and players.

Just thought some of the UH alumni would like to know how he's doing in mini camp.

Yessireebob. Five "once in a generation" quarterbacks that you "can't miss", the likes of which we may never see again. Until next year's draft. A couple running backs that were once-in-a-generation, too. :p

Not a UH alum, but I'm hoping Kolb has a long, successful NFL career. And, hoping Briles leads the Coogs to another winning season.
