Majority of the players in the NBA cheats on their wives. Most of them married their high-school sweethearts, they never got to experience the world and just settled down with the ones in their area. Now they're traveling all over the country, have millions to spend, and now have their pick of women from all over the world. Most chicks like these don't even care that the player is already married, they're thinking he's rich enough to support multiple women OR they can use it to blackmail the player later for $$$.
I don't think you can make that assumption that the majority are a-holes that cheat are their wives. I will give you that with fame there are more chances but really, there are guys that cheat on there wives that don't even have jobs. A douchebag is a douchebag no matter their bank account.
Cheating isn't a matter of being a douchebag or not, its a matter of lust. The more $$$ and fame you have the hotter the women that throws themselves at you. All it takes is a night of partying, some booze and next thing you know you're waking up with another woman in your arms. These guys don't even have to be all charming and **** for girls to fall all over them. All Starbury did was ask a girl "are you getting in the truck?" and he got some tail right then and there. If you seriously think that most NBA players (or pro athletes in general) don't cheat on their wives you are extremely naive.
Not even close. Most regular guys are average frustrated chumps that don't get nearly as much women and sex as an NBA player. Regular guys that can bag a chick any night of the week are like the top 10% of players. If every guy could bring up a chick any day of the week, then strip clubs and escort agencies would go out of business.
