    Just saw him tonight.

Can't believe he doesn't have a license. I would think he'd be rolling around with his possee night and day in his candy-painted SUV on 24's. I guess that'll come soon enough,

What a phenomenal talent. I couldn't be happier for him. I hope he goes on to flourish as a pro.

Not surprised. He'll make a great pro, and would look fabulous in a Rockets uniform... :)

I was hoping he would stay in school, but he is making the right decision.

This is great news because I'm a full-time NBA fan and a spare time college basketball fan. I look forward to watching Durant have a great rookie season next year. I hope he has a good coach.

The NBA is a hard life compared to being the BMOC. I know it would be stupid to pass up whatever situation that guarantees you $15 million dollars and sets you and your family up for life. But he seems like such a kid I almost feel sorry that he has to grow up.

If he has to go, I hope he goes to the Celtics and helps return that once proud franchise back to repectability. They have been due for some karma balancing since Len Bias. And he has more of a chance of filling the shoes of Larry Bird than Oden does of filling Bill Russells I think, though either may be impossible since thay both had 4 other great players to play with.

I don't think it is the first round NBA money but more the endorsements. They are talking between 30-50 million from Nike as a shoe contract.....

    That is SOME jack.....JACK !!

Alot of sports writers were saying Durant's situation might be different because he comes from a stable family and his parents I believe are college educated. So they don't need his money and they value education. I wanted to ask some of those guys, are his parents millionaires?

Losing team, money, and tang vs. early tourney exits and tang...yep I'd go pro too.

No, they're obviously not. They are upper-middle class. But that was part of the reason that Florida got all of their team back. Noah's dad is a millionaire. Horford's dad played three years in the NBA and has done well for himself since. Taurean Green's dad was an long-time NBA journeyman, and is probably a millionaire. Among their feature players, Brewer is the only one who came from the stereotypical, disadvantaged/lower middle class background. And he made himself a lot of money by staying.

The owners would simply fire their GMs and take Durant anyway !

Durant will fit in nicely with Gasol and Gay in Memphis.
Then we can see him 4 times a year.

Wish he would have stayed but there was almost no way he was going to. Congrats to Durant for having one of the best (if not the best) individual seasons of all time.
