Kenyon martin anyone notice he has a nervous tick when he speaks I never knew he had this condition until he was interviewed by nba.com

I wonder can this affect his playability in the long run does it get worse or stay the same?

In an interview a while ago he said he had a really bad stuttering problem as a kid. Maybe his parents dropped his wannabe-thug ass on his head as a kid.

I've never seen this in Kenyon, but Chris Jackson/Mahmoud Abdul Rauf had the same problem. Of course in college nobody could stop him. :)

The tick doesn't reveal itself too often, but when it does, he flagrantly fouls the interviewer.

    Abdul Rauf has Tourette's Syndrome.

Yup. But it was the twitch as he played I was talking about. I wish he had done better in the NBA. I've never watched anyone so unstoppable in college. The only other players in recent memory that come to mind are Calvin Murphy and Pete Maravich, but of course I never watched them play in college.

The twitch was a result of the Tourette's. Tourette's causes the random firing of synapses in the brain and nervous system which can be manifested in different ways, such as the twitch or even the uncontrollable shouting of obscenities.

Sure you didnt. You know your butt was around to watch Mikan's playing days in college. Hell I bet you were around when Naismith invented basketball! :D
