These guys are horrible... Sad part is they are in our 8-man rotation...

Tonight in only the way that Kenny can do it, he blew multiple layups... I know SA has the shot blockers, but if you're gonna let that prevent you from missing layups, then don't even bother showing up to the game... Kenny left his jock strap in New Mexico...

As for the "Wizard", he needs a little more magic in order to 1) actually hit a jumper and 2) be able to stop my grandma on defense...

The guy is the SLOWEST SF I have ever seen... The Turtle would be a more appropriate nickname for him...

Arrgh, the Rockets frustrate the hell out of me...

Yeah, both Thomas and Anderson are looking unmotivated these days.

I meant Thomas and Williams. Although Anderson isn't really playing well either.

I agree 100% Walt is just plain trash and Kenny Thomas is just too short. He at least hustles but he cant finish like he should in crucial moments.

Just like Francis 3422 said, Kenny is young and getting better. Add to that, he is our BACKUP Pf, therefore you can't depend on him like you can a starter. He'll get better, but he definately does not "need to go".

As for Walt... I think everybody agrees with your statement about Walt. When he's on, he's great. When he's off, he's terrible. A regular streak shooter coming off the bench is what he is and what he'll always be. My only problem is keeping someone like Langhi, who has more potential and younger than Walt, on the bench.

Enough of this "Langhi" garbage. He did well against the summer league, that's IT. He will never even be in Walt's league, and that is pretty sad. The guy can't even make wide open layups. Well, I guess he does fit in with the rest of the team. Very few Rockets are capable of making wide open layups...

I don't think you can judge the guy based on a few layups that he missed. Mobley's blown plenty of layups before too... does that make Mobley a sorry player?

And I'm not the only one who's high on Langhi. Rudy T even said himself "Langhi is a gem."

When we first drafted Mobley, did you ever think that this guy could become the cornerstone of our franchise with Francis? Mobley didn't have the skills then, but he worked hard and improved.

Who's to say Langhi can't do the same?

And even without the hypothetical stuff, there are still raw facts that can't be denied. Physically, Langhi is more gifted than Walt in ever area - quickness, jumping, height, etc. Langhi's drive is clearly better than Walt's pathetic excuse for a drive. Langhi hasn't really shown his shot too much (except for the Lakers game), but you know he has one. Either way, Walt's not shootin well either. And based on what I've seen, Walt is nothing more than a set shooter; Langhi on the other hand can actually create his own shot.

I have every reason in the world to believe Langhi will be much better than Walt Williams.

I think that's quite attainable. I'm confident Langhi will definitively show his offensive skills in time. What worries me is I don't know how capable he may prove to be in other areas, areas where we need help. I'd like to see Langhi as our starting SF, but adding another offensively-minded player to a starting lineup of Mobley, Taylor, and Francis seems problematic. At this point, I don't see Shandon reclaiming the starting SG spot over Mobley.

If Langhi was anything more than a 12th man, he'd be getting the mins that Walt is... Or hell even the minutes that Bullard gets... Those are 2 guys who are listed higher on the depth chart than him... So there's no way you can tell me that Langhi has potential...

Players with potential are the ones who are athletic...

    Kidrock:

You haven't really seen Langhi have you?

The man IS athletic, very athletic. You're still caught up in the notion that he's a regular unathletic white guy.

And just because Bullard gets more playing time than Langhi doesn't mean Bullard is better. It's just Rudy's coaching philosophy & his wanting to bring Langhi along slowly.

Jacque Vaughn gets more minutes than Deshawn Stevenson. Granted Deshawn is straight outta high school, but the question is potential. Deshawn has much more potential than Jacque Vaughn. Same argument for Langhi.

University: Almost every single time I see Langhi with the ball, he attacks the basket, and a lot of the times, he's hacked but the refs never give him the call. And Langhi is getting stronger... he's been working with the strength coach.

If Rudy didn't see anything in Langhi, then why did he trade Najera + a future second rounder for him? Why was Langhi given a 1 year deal, something not very common for second rounders, instead of getting cut after training camp?

I'm not saying Langhi is gonna be a superstar, but I think he's got good potential and will definately be an upgrade over Walt Williams. He just needs some experience.

What? If Langhi were so athletic, wouldn't he be out there right now? Bringing him slowly or not, we need an "athletic" SF there's no bones about it... At best, Langhi is a backup SF, at worst he'll be cooking my fries at McD's...

Fact is, we need some guys contributing other than Francis and Mobley... Either Rudy T is a moron for not playing the athletic Langhi, or Langhi isn't good enough to play more than garbage time...

Either way, we have a problem...

Langhi is incredibly athletic. In fact, the Rockets ball boy about a week ago said that he might even have a higher vertical than Francis. If you ever watch warmups, etc., this guy can absolutely fly. Seriously.

    Alaskan,

I know how frustrating it is try to deal with kidrock, ZRB, and others. So few people realize that not every player steps into the league immediately and starts ripping things up. Most players take time to develop their skills and adapt to the NBA game. You can tell the immaturity in terms of basketball knowledge and evaluating players by comments like those in this thread.

What's even sadder is how someone can seriously think that after seeing a few garbage time minutes from this guy in half of his rookie season.

Kenny Thomas has a quick first step and should be able to make layups more often even though he is undersized. He does hustle and can rebound pretty well, however if he does not start getting more points in the post by the end of this season,he should be traded before the start of the next season.

What else is a coach, Byron Scott notwithstanding, suppose to say about his own player?

The only way Langhi will become effective in this league is if he (1) gets stronger and (2) attacks the basket more agressively.

    SELLOUTS...

Support your team....the whole team. It is ok to b**** about a performance here and a performance there, but who doesn't have a bad game in the NBA?

Any Rockets FANS in the house?
