    I'd really like Calvin Murphy to be coach, but what about Kenny? Other than his xenophobia, he seems pretty knowledgeable about the game. Obviously he's an ex-Rocket, a PG, and was on the championship teams. Unlike Rudy, He actually sees what's wrong with the Rockets and I think would call them out on it. If you've seen Inside the NBA, you'd see he knows what our problems are and also has a good knowledge of all the teams in the league etc. I don't know how good he would be with X's & O's, but it's not like we have alot of (more like none) innovation anyways with playcalling and defensive strategy. I've also heard before that Kenny had an interest in coaching sometime.

    Nooooo, I would not even want Kenny as an assistant coach. The guy would not be able to keep our guys under control..

    BS.

    It's easy to come up with solutions while sitting behind a desk in the studio.

    Why don't we just make Ernie Johnson and Barkley his assistants while we are at it?

    Why do people insist on suggesting people who've never been coaches, at any level, be the head coach of an NBA team - the highest level of the profession?

    We've got a coach who's proven he can put banners in the rafters - unless there's a better option out there, and I don't see one - why let him go?

    Cavlin = wishy-washy

    Kenny = A follower; push-over when pressed.

    Look how he cowers when Barkley gives him a hard time.

    I love Kenny for sentimental reasons, but the dude is a jackass.

    That's my whole problem. Get over the past, move on. There are tons of better options. Rudy is a great guy, but sorry he's not a great coach. I don't even know if I would say Rudy has much to do with the championship rather than Hakeem having the right role players around him at the right time. Everyone bought into their niche, we had one of the greatest centers ever, and our roster had a good mix of veterans and the right type of players needed for each position on our team.

    I suggested Kenny because I just wanted to see who other people would suggest as possible candidates. I don't seriously think HE should be coach (although he might), but we need someone new so who else is a good candidate?

    My candidate is Rudy with a couple of new assistants.

    Exactly. Just cause someone talks a good game on T.V., doesn't mean they can coach or garner respect from the players.

    Hey Jim Petersen played for the Rockets and is a color guy now. How come he does not get any love? How about Tom Tolbert? Or Eddie Johnson?
