The Mavericks just traded Satterfield to the Nuggets for a second round pick OR future considerations. My question is: Why didn't the Rockets get Satterfield in the Rice deal? I know Kyle Hill was taken before Satterfield, but the Rockets had to know that Hill was contemplating Europe. Plus, the Rockets could have used Kenny as a third PG who could develop over the next 2-3 years (a la William Avery) and eventually contribute. Satterfield has a lot of potential. I understand that Hill was just a throw-in, but when he bolted, we could have used another PG. I mean, the Rockets don't even have a backup PG yet. I know Moochie will re-sign, but we need a third PG regardless.

Didn't you see Dan Langhi in the summer leagues? For some reason, the Rockets feel comfortable with him playing point forward. Maybe this is their answer...or they might be looking to make additional deals.

I agree with bimathug. There is nothing to lose with bringing in a second round pick especially someone with Kenny's potential. Rudy is second to none in getting the most from young guards (mobley, francis, cassell, maloney, Rhodes).. My question is where does this leave Omar Cook on the nuggets depth chart. Now they have Van Exel, Avery Johnson and kenny..Cook can play! although 3rd line PG should not be the Rockets prime concern right now, why not look for that diamond in the rough?

Maybe the Nuggets have a deal with Cook??? He would be a great player for the Rockets to have.

OK...so I'm somewhat partial to the local unachieving college team...but Gee Gervin is available.

Remember, we are talking about a third string point and I think Gervin might fit this role.

I'm a fan of Gervin's too but I think he needs a couple of developmental years before he enters the league. He would have been a better option on our summer league team than Saul Smith though!
