Kendrick Perkins finished the 2013 NBA Playoffs with a PER of -0.7, which is the worst on record for a player with 200 or more minutes.

Perkins had 24 turnovers, 24 points, 39 fouls, five blocks and a plus/minus of -40 in the playoffs.

Perkins was acquired by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2011 in a trade involving Jeff Green.

Scott Brooks played Perkins 23.3 minutes per game in the Conference Semifinals against the Memphis Grizzlies despite clearly being ineffective.

The Rockets wouldn't have won a game without Perk.

Worst starter in the NBA. He used to be a decent shotblocker but that has faded and he does nothing well for a guy his size now.

So true. You take what they are going to pay Harden's replacement(s) over the years and add that to what they are paying Perkins, it is going to be around what they would have paid Harden.

OKC made a big mistake. They should have brought Harden back this season under his rookie contract, signed him to an extension and then amnestied Perkins before next season.

He was never anything more than a big guy and an attitude. He made sense for Boston, as he was a big body to put on Howard and could get under his skin with dirty play. He never made much sense for OKC.

Actually, as bad as Perkins was, they should have tried Thabeet and see what happen. What did they have to lose?

I don't think Lin played more than 200 minutes, but yeah, he would have been up there.

Im a fan of Presti's work so far, but letting go of Harden when you could have amnestied this lump of basketball player waste instead should be a fireable offense.

And the fact that Brooks still decides to play this guy as many minutes as he does is a joke as well. The only honest explanation I can think of is he is literally scared of the confrontation it might cause.

If I was in Presti's spot I would wake up and realize that Serge Ibaka is the center, and go ahead and move him to that role. Get rid of Perkins as soon as possible, and try to make a move for an all-star or close to all-star level PF. OKC has had, and will momentarily have nice assets (lottery pick, Lamb, Jones III) to make a very good trade for that team to compete for titles.

If they sit on those assets too long they could diminish greatly in value, those young players could not pan out, and this team is stuck with the roster they have moving forward for the next few seasons. That's a huge risk for Presti to take if he wants to keep his job.

However, its in the Rockets best interest for Presti & Brooks to keep on the Perkins bandwagon. More power to them sucking... better for the Rockets.
