First game getting the start, since Farmar went down and he goes 20/15/6 with 1 turnover! Interesting to see if this is a fluke or not, but he was decent last game as well in limited minutes and the Lakers don't have a PG, so he's gonna play big minutes.
I've always thought he wasn't a good enough shooter, scorer, or defender to justify being a mid first rounder and that scouts and gms were just enamored with his elite court vision and handle. Pretty much all pg's tend to flourish under dantoni. If Chris Duhon could be a pretty good pg under him, and Ray Felton a near all star, I'm gonna have to give more credit to the system than the player.
oh **** just saw his highlights he really does play like Lin. They got the same drive moves and motions. All he's missing is the turnovers
Lookin really good, think he'll have a place in this league with that ball-iq and court vision. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/xR7nw1-nne8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Score keepers were kinda of generous on a couple of his assist. But yes, that was a great game by Marshall! His shooting stroke is still ugly but if it goes in, use it! I would say he is a more in control Jeremy Lin with way less scoring and more traditional point guard skills. But how similar is this situation with the Lakers is with the '12 Knicks? Both struggling teams under Diantoni. A second year player who has a DL stint gets called up because of injuries. Both huge markets so (if Marshall does explode, unlikely but never say never), his story will be the talk of the sports world for the next year. Both missing the superstar of the team both of which are ball dominant players in Melo and Kobe. Pretty sure there are cults with Marshallsanity followers already. Shall be interesting to watch unfold.
Not so subtle difference Marshall was a first round lottery pick, Jeremy went undrafted. Not that big of an underdog there...
