Similiar to Dr. Jack's response...I'm sure the anti-Van Gundy guys will say that these experts don't know anything. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dave (Brooklyn): Who is more highly regarded in the league Van Gundy or Dunleavy? Who should the Rockets hire? Ken Bikoff: (5:14 PM ET ) Van Gundy is seen as a tenacious guy who is going to demand control, and he has earned that with what he did in New York. Dunleavy is more easy going, but I think his time away from the game is viewed as more of a negative. Van Gundy would be a great hire for the Rockets. Not that Dunleavy would fail. It's just that Van Gundy never got the credit he deserved for winning with the talent he had with the Knicks. Who's Ken Bikof?!? Thank you Munco. We get your point. You want Jeff Van Gundy. You should have posted all this in that huge thread "THE CASE FOR VAN GUNDY". A lot of people say Van Gundy will be better with us. And I agree!!! Everybody knows! Nobody likes Dunleavy!
Yeah, I've gone a bit overboard with the threads. But I just think it's strange that it appears that most pereive Van Gundy to be the better coach but on Clutch City it's pretty close. So far the nod of Van Gundy over Dunleavy is 3 - 0. Dr. Jack Ramsey David Aldridge Ken Bikoff Just trying to drill down the point that Van Gundy is regarded more highly by the experts than Dunleavy. It's hard to even find negatives on Van Gundy from fans, players, experts..
Hey Munco, do you know what your name means in Japanese? I can't say it here because of the little kids...
I think the Rockets should stop imitating a team and organization that knows WTF is going on and is doing something about it. This time last year I had faith in that future. Now as I give up and become just a cynic and critic, I do remain open to surprise. But JVG though? Crap!
