Dude needs to practice catching basketballs. hOW many drop passes he has this season is astounding. Maybe he needs to watch how wide recievers learn to catch the ball like practicing catching eggs and stuff.

He's been playing pro for 6 years, I cant see him getting any better, its more court vision than co-ordination isnt it?

Court vision has nothing to do with catch passes, he just has bad hands.

"Kelvin Cato arguably has the worst hand in the history of NBA basketball..." (or something like that)

Does anyone remember the movie "Necessary Roughness"??

They had a guy on the team named Featherstone, and his nickname was "Stone Hands" because he was super fast, but couldn't catch.

Anyway, at the end of the movie, they finally throw one too him, and
Robert Loggia, in a panic, screams out "Don't throw it to Stone Hands!!!".

Thats why goes through my mind whenever Cato gets the ball. Every time.

You can't quote Bill Walton with a straight face. He's exageration personified. But Kelvin Cato has a reputation for having small hands. I'm sure it's been discussed on this board a number of times.

The bigger concern, though, is why he's disappearing from the line-up at clutch times. It's pretty obvious -- he can't score. But what happened to his hustle? Where did that go? I think it's a confidence thing. When he's confident, he can be a monster.

But we need both Cato and Yao to be monsters at the same time. Weatherspoon is great, but he's too small to compete with the big 4s in the Western Conference on a regular basis.

I'm not worring about his hands but his energy level. Seems like his production and energy keeps going down.

Nobody has worse hands than Kevin Willis in the history of NBA.

Yeah, but at least Stone Hands caught the ball on that play. Cato makes a habit out of dropping passes, letting them go through his hands...

Mobley seems to have the same problem lately, too. I've noticed him lately beating his man off the dribble and then putting the ball off his knee as he goes up for the layup.

speaking of cato, the only way he can score is through the alley hope dunk; how sad. Cant even score up close to the basket.
