When you have back-to-back chokes, that's pathetic. When your kicker scores all 15 points, that's really pathetic. McNair, you really better do something drastic to this squad in the offseason....really drastic. What an embarrassment! Well, the only race were in, we've currently got the Packers, Jets, and 49ers on our tail to get the prized Reggie Bush or the future QBs Matt Leinhart and Vince Young. Keep it going!
I keep hearing that if there was a year to suck, this was the year. The Texans need help on the offensive line. They need to give the quarterback the time to throw the ball. Reggie Bush is so talented, it would be difficult to pass him up. But, if a team want that pick, the Texans better hold out for 2 first round picks (with one being in the top 5) and a 2nd round pick or a couple of 3rd round picks. LET'S FIX THE OFFENSIVE LINE!!!!!!!
The Texans have to keep losing to secure the #1 pick, but the schedule is going to be tough for them. We play 3 terrible teams in the Titans, Cardinals, and 49ers. We are really going to have to step up our weak play in order to lose out to those teams.
I know it sounds antithetical to "want" your team to lose, but at this rate, how exactly does winning a couple of games to close out the season help? The answer? It doesn't. You either lose the ability to draft Reggie Bush with the first pick, or you lose the bargaining power that could parlay that pick into multiple other picks. Moreover, we already have a pretty good indication Capers is gone. Casserley may not be far behind, either. Either way, finishing something like 3-13 isn't going to do anybody a darn bit of good. Do any of us think that by ending the season on a "good" note that it indicates it simply took us twelve or thirteen weeks to "get it" and that we have a bunch to look forward to next year? Of course not. The bottom line is I'm actually like some of you guys who are worried that we might win a couple to close out the year and end up with, like, the fourth pick in the draft.
The NFL really does need a lottery. I haven't thought about it to much before this season. But it sucks to root against your team every week and it would suck even more to have season tickets and be rooting against your team.
It doesn't feel good to LOSE but I'll take the way the Texans are losing though ....... both games were winable at the end so you could take it for a possible W but by losing it out at the ends gives us a shot a the #1 pick (Reggie Bush) so is a WIN/WIN situation!
jlaw, I hate to root for my team to lose. It boils me inside to go to work everyday among Cowboys fans. It sucks to see them sticking it to me with their team competing for 1st place in their division and my team competing for the #1 pick in next year's draft! Hell, they're even trying to convert me to the dark side! Screw f'n that! I got Oilers/Texans blue blood through my veins! This team needs a major overhaul. Casserly and Capers have done a sh!tty job this year and need to go. McNair, being the owner we've dreamed of to replace Bud Adams, it sucks that it happened to a nicer guy.
I'm with ya nWo32Life. I'm just so freaking frustrated with the current state of the team. And with no apparent light at the end of the tunnel except for whatever we can do with a premium pick -- I'm almost resigned to looking forward to the April draft.
My frustrations with the Texans ended a long time ago. The did scare me again by almost winning for the second straight week. The way I see it its Reggie Bush or bust.(lol)
Dunta Robison and Gary Walker just pointed fingers at the coaches on Fox Sports SW. Bye Bye Dom. Hopefully management does enough this offseason to show Dunta/Andre we intend to compete.
Did yall here the post game interviews? Many of them are upset with that last play call. The all out blitz. Robinson was saying how he didn't agree with it.
Bob McNair: "Dom, if you dont find a way to lose! your ass will be fire by Monday morning" Dom Caper: "Dont worry Bob, I'll get the guys to play hard and have a good game but we'll find a way at the end" Bob McNair: "Good .... you can coach the rest of the year but make sure you dont ruin my draft pick for REGGIE BUSH!"
That's what got us into this mess in the first place. Dominant Olinemen are worth more and are harder to find than dominant RB's. REggie Bush, if you haven't notice, is running behind a pretty good one against some awful defenses at USC. trade down, get future and current #1's and #2's, draft Brick and a RT and/or RG, pick up a TE, WR, and a DT in the process, and hope things get better.
