After watching the Celtics struggle, I don't think we are any different. However, this stretch of adversity will tell the character of this team. I really want to see this team at full strength and running the offense Rick wants to install. Hopefully getting Ron and Battier healthy will help. I truly think Tmac's issue is 50/50 mental/physical. The mental part appears as if he's giving up on plays (similiar to his Orlando days). I hope he can overcome, however, we may need to do this without him, which is possible. I still have faith the larger group of hungry players will get us into the playoff. Last year, we would have never dreamed of a 22 game win streak. KEEP THE FAITH
Um, the HUGE difference is that the Celtics can lose 10 games in a row and they'll still make the playoffs. If we lose 10 in a row, our season is completely over. That's what taking care of business buys for you.
LMAO at all these posts and threads and posts that say "keep faith" and people telling others "you have no faith." truth is, FAITH IS NOTHING. For example, tell a kid to have FAITH in Santa Claus to make him happy. But it doesnt matter how MUCH faith or how MANY kids have FAITH in Santa, its doesnt make him real. FAITH IS USELESS.
Understand your frustration, however, I was only comparing us to the Celtics due to the recent surprising losses we've goth experienced. We are only 3 games behind the division leading SA Girls.
Wow, a bad Christmas or New Year personally? We are only talking about the Houston Rockets. Not JESUS CHRIST THE LORD!!!
Let's say you had to bet your life savings on the game tomorrow, the who breaks out of the slump first game. Who would you put your money on? The slumping Boston Celtics or the completely dysfunctional, falling apart, soap opera of a team, the Houston Rockets? You know in your heart what you would do. And one other question, how long do we "keep the faith?" Fourteen years? Fifteen? Twenty? And, why can't changes be made to bring respect back to the name, Houston Rockets, the NBA team we really love?
That's because you don't cheer for the Celtics. Anyway, the Rockets will be fine. I find it hilarious that people around here think that the Rockets were going to be near the top of the Western Conference without having Battier, Artest and McGrady together for any meaningful period of time. We'll be fine.
I have faith in a healthy Battier and Artest. The only way we see a healthy Tmac is via trade and he feels he needs to prove something after being traded. I look for Deke to provide some solid leadership and get others to play at full strength.
I'm keeping my faith, but I must say that this has been the most unpleasant time for me as a Rockets fan. I been following since the championship years.
"for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also" James 2 The guys in the locker room need to keep the faith.. and then they need to bring it!! Go Rox!!
Nah you just forogot. We ve been losing to really bad teams in times and there were streaks and stuff.. The problem is just that all is repeating. We will win games and hope will rise again and in playoffs we'll disappear again. Like I said times before: don't get your hopes too high. Hope but not tooo much. After all, you could be born in situation where you could be rooting for Grizzlies (yeah I know that they are at least fun to watch right now)
My man, how biblically correct. But I definitely like the body of work put in by AB. It seems, if we have a good game by either PG, we have the ability to beat anyone.
