Well, if Tmac is out and needs Microfracture, it chages EVERYTHING for me in regards to this team. I would stop shopping Ron immediatly and start shopping Shane..... Now we need a PG more than ever, but Ron is a better version of Shane..... So, Morey, you have to be agile my man..... At least you found out before the deadline. Agreed. We can still make it out of the second round if we can trade Battier and one of our other role players for a pretty good pg.
Yeah but isnt Artest pretty much nursing a injury too thats slowed him down lately. Man, I'm scared of putting the whole team on Artests back. Not that Shane has done anything significant all season. Oh man, the season gets 100x more scary.
Stop overestimating Battier's trade value. No one will give up Hinrich or any other PG for him.I doubt if the Rockets can even get Steve Blake for him at the present time.
I think Battier would be easier to trade than Ron, he is a valued member of winning basketball by pretty much everyone in the league. BTW, this does not mean I would re-sign Ron after the year, just that I would give this year and these last 30 games a good hard look at him and Yao. DD
Shane's days as an elite defender is coming to an end. I agree with DD, let's trade him now while his trade value is high.
I doubt Maggette is on the block, he just inked a 50M deal. The Rox management still love Battier, the ultimate team player so if anyone gets moved it'll be Ron.
That would be awsome if worth it and possible. The problem is his value has significantly dropped this season. And Artest is a valued expiring. If there is a God, He'll find a way! jk MOREY!!! we need your help!
Even without the news of McGrady missing the season.......trading Artest was stupid. I'm glad this happened, now we have all players playing hard and we can start winning some games and finally get out of the 1st round.
They're not similar players, Battier is a better help defender, while Artest gambles and goes for steals. It doesnt matter though, as they both blow this year on D anyways.....I'd still trade them both if possible.
