Van Dummy will be gone by Xmas. This team isn't even listening to him.

So last year when the players didn't listen it was because Steve and Cat were immature punks, and this year when they don't listen it's JVG's fault all of a sudden?

I think JVG is on the verge of losing this team, they certainly are not responding to his way of coaching.

Unfortunately it appears that way. The players are not responding to him.

I think the truth is surfacing regarding JVG. So much for the style of "accountability". What a crock.

Said elsewhere- Jimmy Williams comes to mind. The clock is ticking.

I agree - and it is entirely his decision to go with the (old) players that we have. He's put his head on the line, which is the reason that he should face the axe if things don't improve quickly!

Seriously, Tyronn Lue, Bob Sura, Tracy McGrady - these are all guys who make their living on the breakaway - why is Gundy so insistent on slowing eveything down?
He's got (arguably) the best scorer in the league on the roster (McGrady), so why does he want to fashion an offense that freezes him out somewhat?

I guess at the end of the day he's the coach, and he's been very deliberate in making decisions to head in one direction with the sole aim of getting results. If that isn't working, if results aren't coming in, then maybe we need a new direction - either he provides it or he goes!

Very well said, this team seems to be hand picked by him give or take a few players. Mediocricy is the way he coaches, he can't blame the players for that. I dont like coaches or people in general who are always ready to point out the flaws and never ready to give praise. You lose people/players like that. They start to develope the mentality that no matter what they do its not good enough for this guy. When we win, he has something negative to say. They dont seem to give their all for him, and judging from his interviews on TV, I wouldnt either...

ICAM! I think they are trying to get him fired just like the Astros right before the allstar break w/Jimy Williams.

    fya...

    you disgust me

No matter how much I hate a coach, I would NEVER want my team to continue losing just to get rid of him,

    no real fan would.

    you disgust me.

Teams do that quite frequently when they want a new coach. Just last year the Nets intentionally played like crap to get Byron Scott canned and what-do-ya know...they won 13 in a row afterwards.

Bottom line - I could take the Rockets losing 7-8 in a row right now (we're halfway there) to get JVG canned in order to reach their full potential by the end of the season.

So you're not a UT football fan? ;)

Seriously, you guys need to chill. JVG isn't going anywhere anytime soon. You're just going to have to get used to it.

Did I really just type the phrase "you guys need to chill?"

heh...nope...dont care much for the standard college rivalries the rest get into...comes from going to a jr college instead of a real one. ;)

and I hope that comment was directed towards the kneejerkers around here...all Iwas doing was making a comment on how iittle respect I have for posters(fans) that want their(or so they claim) team to fail to fulfill their armchair GM fantasies.

    bigballer....

We arent talking about players tanking ...we are talking about supposed fans that want the team to lose.....big difference.

just about as bad as the Yao fans that want the Rockets to fail so that Yao might go to a team near them..(Cali fans, Im looking at you)

    both types of fans suck....

sorry Deck...tryin to stay civil..it is soo hard to tho

Yep, it was directed at the "fire Van Gundy" crowd. He's not going anywhere. That's it.
