What can I say? Maybe I'll start a thread like this every time we win. Since we get more or less the opposite everytime we lose.

Just kidding. I won't do that, but I sure feel like it. Just this once.

thats what i've stuck with. i think nobody needs to be traded or fired, we have a great team and we need to keep it. this team just needs to click and find out that to win it includes passing and hitting easy shots and after last night againts the jazz, i hope they can keep up their play.

Ok, I agree, however if we could get Brand for a Swan Song, I'd do it every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Not gonna happen, so I bet we stay put.

OP indicated that Swift loves the Rockets and could be had for cheap. I wouldn't mind adding a player with his vertical, if he could find some passion and work ethic. Let's give a pick or the Drew obligation for him. That way, no one goes out and someone comes in.

    Lets see

Rockets lose = Fire Rudy, Trade everybody, Breakup the DAMN team, we suck threads appear all over this forum

Rox win 1 GAME and we are in love with the team again....LOL :D

Serioulsly though..... I would love to see a trade to update the PF position. We need a big body banger to help out Yao in the paint. But then again, eveybody already knows this so no need to repeat it. Question is, whom do we trade and who do we get in return?

Exactly. Time is on our side. This is a young team, and as they all grow as players and hit their primes, we will be a dynasty. Who is going to stop a team with Francis, Yao, Griffin all in their primes? It will be sick to watch:

    - "Jay Williams in for the layup - BLOCKED by Griffin for the 10th TIME!"
    - "Bibby drives the lane... STOLEN BY YAO - Ahead to Francis for the dunk!"
    - "Kobe pulls up for a 10 footer - SWATTED BY YAO right to Francis who breaks away for the slam!"
    - "Griffin for three to win the game... YYYYYEEEEESSS!! HOW SWEET IT IS!"

Oh, I forgot to mention Cat. I think that Cat is going to be tremendous player once he adjusts to his new role with Yao's arrival. Look at last night's game... Cat played completely within himself and made a HUGE contribution. He didn't force things. It will take time for him to fall into that routine consistently, but I think what we saw from Cat last night is the kind of play that we would like to see from him every night.

Yep we all are with ya. I am proud to say I have never posted a "WE SUCK, TRADE EVERYBODY, FIRE RUDY" thread ever and I dont planon doing so either. I do agree though that we do need a trade to upgrade the PF position, but that's about it.

If you are a true Rox fan, hold you're head up high and ride through the tough times. One day (very soon) the sun will shine on this franchise and its die-hard fans again! Keep tha' faith my brotha's and sista's........

Someone tell me why Mo-Money-Taylor and Moochie need to stay opposed to having a cheaper powerfoward, someone who you know what you're going to get from him everynight, and another point guard who turns it over very little and is a great jump shooter?

Mooch is an OKAY backup. We could still have some use for him

But I do agree Mo needs to go. But who could we get for him? He has injuries and he has a fat contract, no to mention he is not really that good of a basketabll player either. I doubt we could even get Junior Harrington in exchange for Mo T.

if we keep them all, we are going back into the lottery for the 5th consecutive years. changes are needed to be made to move the team forward, becoming a championship contender and competing as the lakers, spurs, kings and mavs.

I have to agree with all the posts I have read thus far in this post. I have to admit, after Tuesday nights loss against the Utah, I was wanting to fire Rudy & make a few adjustments to our line up... but as usual, the Rockets come thru with an incredible win last night against the team they had lost to the previous night. I'm alittle tired of hearing the excuses of why we lose "the rockets are a young team" yes, & no. In order for us to win continously we have to start playing as team... as far as firing rudy, nah i don't think its necessary. In my opinion, players win the ball game. And as we all know, Steve is the head guy out there... Rudy is his side kick. As long as Steve guides the team to a "team win" We will be heading in the right direction for years to come... Patience is the key!!

Yao + Ball = Good things Happen!!

    James 23,

Unless you can land Elton Brand without giving up more than Griffin and Mobley (which likely wouldn't do it given that Brand isn't on the market, as much as we know), then there are no short term fixes that imediately convert us to contenders this year. Grant would help, short-term, but even Grant won't make us a CONTENDER this year. There's simply not a Steve Francis-Vancouver-type situation in which the Rockets can capitalize on.

We all need to be reasonable with our expectations. Several bad things happened to us last year, but it is few and far between the instances where a team wins the freakin LOTTERY and the same year contends for a Championship. I know that the Rox management has much more patience, given their PLAN,VISION,ETC. for the Rockets. I would imagine the point being that we make the playoffs by the hair of chins, make some waves and learn from the experience. And the jury is not out, one way or another as to if we make the playoffs this year. But we will...

Dont get carried away folks. Although it was a much needed win, OUR PROBLEMS still exist. Dont think that Eddie Griffen will hit 2 out of 2 three pointers on a consistant basis. And dont think that Stevie can hit all those jumpers every night. Problem with a jump shooting offense is that it is inconsistant and we were fortunate to come out on top today.
