    This guy has potential.

    Today's game: 18:14 8-10 1-1 5-7 +7 5 rbs 22 pts.

Dude's an athlete and has great size for a wing.

I was hoping he would fall out of the draft so the Rockets could take a look at him. When the Magic selected him, I was kind of upset.

I'm glad the Vipers ultimately got him, though. I really like his game.

The problem here is we don't own his rights, and we also don't have a roster spot. Just as we're keeping an eye on him, I'm sure other teams are also looking at him.

Damn, I hope DM just trades JT for free to clear a spot, this guy is gold. C'mon DM! This here is your diamond in the rough for this season!

Since we don't own his rights, opening up a spot won't help. The Magic could keep him.Trading for him may not be so easy.

Oh my damn. I was thinking of Stanley Roberts, the scrub who played 6 games with the Rockets.

I don't think the Magic have any say on where he goes. They waived him before opening night. He was a non-guaranteed since he was drafted in the second. I think we should definitely open up a spot for this guy. He has the potential to be a Gerald Wallace-esque player if he really develops well.

Actually the magic released his rights already, that's why he's in the dleague. Any team can scoop him up right now.

Honestly the RGV has a lot of good players who can contribute to an NBA team. Maybe the rocks can release JT and exchange him for SR straight up. We need a SF right now. As in right now.

This is the freaking D-League. Aaron Brooks was averaging 26 points in his rookie season there and other D-League stars such as Mike Harris have stats that don't translate into the NBA

Mike Harris doesn't have the stats because he doesn't play. The few times he got PT he did decently enough.

Aaron Brooks averaging 26 pts in the dleague isn't that far from what he's averaging now. Wasn't he the MIP just last season?

A lot of players have come from the dleague and become decent NBA rotation players, among them Anthony Morrow and Jamario Moon. No one's saying they're gonna be stars in this league, but a lot of the dleague players are good enough to be in an NBA rotation.

Mike's problem was that he was PF with the height of a SG.

Stanley Robinson has NBA size, but he is still raw.

I'm not discounting what the OP says, maybe this dude is legit, but D-league stats mean next to nothing. What you really need to watch for are things like a guy's decision making, how he reads defenses, what kind of go-to moves he has, how effective he is 1-on-1, and things like that. This is probably obvious to everyone.. but I'd caution anyone against thinking someone is good because of D-league stats - even an entire season's worth.

Another team can still grab him. Which if he keeps playing like this he will most likely he taken once teams are allowed to sign guys to 10 day contracts.

Sometimes they show it on the Versus channel. But if my memory serves me correctly you can watch some of the games online on their site.
