    Oh...I can help. Let me slip into my mild-mannered postologist suit.

    Your post count that shows up with a post is not burned into that post...it is re-calculated everytime the thread gets a new submit. Each occurrence of your post count in that thread will get your last count as its value.

    And with a little mind extrapolation, that means, every post of yours in a given thread will show the same post count, always; that is, your most current count since the last submit in that thread.

    nope, you up the count on every post. Just that each record recalculates on each new submit to a thread.

    so...what was 2548 and 2549 in this thread as I recorded when typing will now both show 2551...as well as this post. In fact, go submit in any thread with a post from me, and watch the count in that thread magically recalculate to 2551 for all my old posts in that thread.

    And that is enough postology for one day...
