KD too old. Not good enough.
    Giannis not a good fit.
Book - doesn't worth it at 70M a year. I made a mistake wanting him in the team. Gimme Jalen at 35M a year anytime.

We need Ant or Luka level rabbit out of the hat. I doubt next year is the year we pull it off.

For next year: gimme any player who can shoot and be part of the Ime's rotation.

Is it possible to take both Harden and KD into our cap room, if FVV, Dillon, Landale and Holliday salary go out, Adams and Jeff Green not resigned, and we let Bari/Tari go to RFA?

Need playoff performances before evaluating which current Rockets players should stay and which should be shipped out.

Amen is the only player I'm 100% certain will return next season. Any of the other guys could be playing their final games here.

Giannas is a good fit BUT he will cost a GRIP! I'd rather stick with what we have and add another wing who can shoot.

    Fred is almost dead!
    Bring back Adams
Hope we get a Top 4 pick

Not a fan of bringing Harden back. Just doesn’t feel right.

id empty the cupboards for Giannis...
id be willing to consolidate and make a bold offer for Booker...

i think KD is the realistic target - age vs expense... a prospect, a pick and filler?

NO desire to b beholden to James hardon ever again...

there r prob a couple options who would b an upgrade...

goal is to consolidate a few assets into a proven closer wo totally blowing up our core...

i figure KD is best realistic option... we dont need 35+ mins - just 20-30 and clutch play down the stretch...

This is a good idea for a thread after the season is over. I want to at least wait and see what the playoffs look like before deciding.

Minus the older stars anyone that I can think that realistically shakes loose in the near future that I would want is probably Ant.

I want to see who steps it up in the playoffs . At the moment I don’t see Booker making us significantly better than Green.

This offseason I’d decline and maybe renegotiate with Fred; see if we can bring Grimes home; and maybe kick the tires on a KD trade but not giving up much for him. We’d have to see what happens with Adams but if he doesn’t come back, then a shot blocking big that’s a lob threat to add a wrinkle to the double big line up could be interesting.

Reed and Grimes launching 3s anyone?

This team has a culture that KD, the Beard, or any other max level veteran would be hard pressed to adjust to. Ime needs a level of youth on the team because no multi-millionaire whose been around the block a few dozen times is going to buy completely in. In my mind this eliminates KD, Harden, and even Giannis. Now I wouldn't be upset if somehow Giannis ended up on the team. I would be open to it, but it doesn't feel like a natural fit.

The "youth movement" supporters here seem to think that the kids are alright enough to take the next step on their own. As long as they have the right role players around them. I would be ok with this because I love our "youth." My only problem is that I think it will take 2 or 3 more years to figure it out and we might turn into this years Sacramento. They had everything moving in the right direction last year. Their own youth movement, but look at them now. The basketball gods are fickle with the youth. Especially the god called "potential."

This leaves me voting for Booker or another stud SG from a team that doesn't have the stomach, or other pieces, to justify the big max contract for their market size, ie Minnesota, fingers crossed. The fact that Minnesota traded KAT for Julius Randle, DiVincenzo, and a first rounder leaves me thinking they might either not know what they are doing or they saw the writing on the wall regarding the long term cost.

Which brings me to Booker. I like Booker. I have been following the reporting on the Suns all season and the writers often credit Booker for being the only fighter in the ring with a bunch of slappies. I think he has tasted greatness and wants more. I also think he would thrive under Udoka. That's what my gut is telling me anyway.

I also wouldn't be surprised if some team comes out of nowhere in the offseason and lays a unicorn at our feet in exchange for 2 or 3 first rounders. Not hoping for this, just wouldn't be surprised.

As long as we don't trade for one of the old guys (KD, Harden, etc.) I'm going to feel fine, but I hope it's Booker. Unless Jalen carries us to the Western Conference Finals. Then I'm buying a jersey and some Wing Stop Atomic wings.
