maybe that push off gave him the concussion that made him forget to foul at the end of the game. what the **** was he doing. he literally went to foul and then avoided it and let another 2 seconds run off. i tried to not watch the last 6 minutes but i decided to anyway and of course i get to watch us blow a 6 point lead with 1:30 remaining. what's the win% at that point, like 92 or 93% probably? has paul george ever missed a big 3 against us?
Nah that's clean, Harden fouls out in the first quarter if that starts getting called. PJ didn't flop, that's the problem. If PJ could channel his inner Marcus Smart or Pat Bev and pretends like he took a 12 gauge to the chest, then maybe it gets called.
there were multiple plays all night with kawhi blatantly pushing off to create space for his shot, and boris durke ignoring them all while cheering him on. meanwhile harden's arms were scrutinized like the tentacles of satan
Maybe, but I feel like stars make that play all the time to get themselves open for a look at the end of a game. Kawhi was a monster in that period. He practically single handedly put us in the penalty in the first possession of the fourth. Incredible player.
Flopping is so risky though! I guess at that point he was beat, so he should of definitely sold the call. I respect that PJ didn't want to give up the shot and instead tried to get back his footing to challenge the shot.
Star players are allowed to push off all the time, dating back to Jordan's "The Shot". This is because you don't want the ref to dictate whether the game won or lost. Whoever was defending Kawhi should have manned up and made sure Kawhi didnt get a clean look no matter what.
Yeah? I am sure refs calling 4 fouls on the Rockets on one trip at the beginning of the 4th, putting the Rockets into penalty the rest of the quarter, and then Clips getting 20 or so free throws in 4th quarter had nothing to go with game being won or lost. lol
I don’t care about that push off it’s nothing. It’s called superstar rules and really it wasn’t even that bad. Kawhi is weird to me. like I see he’s a great player I’m not even debating that, but at the same time I feel like he’s been so lucky in his career and is slightly overrated even though like I said he’s a fantastic superstar top 5-6 player in the league. harden is better than him he just hasn’t had the talent around him that Kawhi has had it Lebron or curry. sucks. the one year he did have a stud next to him he won 65 games an mvp and should have won a title. Rockets are in a strange situation I feel like we’ve put together good teams around harden it could be way worse but we haven’t put together the right team around him either.
Kawhi has always had a good help around him. Not to mention, he gets rested an awful lot..... so no wonder the guy is always up for the playoffs.
